What if the Iran Deal Was a Mistake?

https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/02/what-if-the-iran-deal-was-a-mistake.html

A thoughtful look at what we gained and lost with the Iran deal. The article is loaded with ambiguity, which seems quite appropriate.

I'll let it speak for itself, if you care to read it, and add three things.

One, to quote Obama, "there are no good options."

Two, given that, it puts North Korea in a different perspective. If you think about what it would take to get them to go no further on nuclearization - let alone try to get them to roll back - it is worth asking, What do we gain by doing so? And what do we lose by doing so?

Three, to quote Obama, "there are no good options."

The purported Irish farmer's advice to a traveller who asked how to get to Ballymena, 'Well, I wouldn't start from here', is apposite. It can be argued that the deal was the wrong decision, but not that there was any way of knowing that at the time the decision was made. It can also be argued that it was the worst option apart from the others that were actually available at the time.

So basically that's like having a number of good options, except for all the ones that are actually available?
