What does "following" someone do?

 

I thought that if you followed someone that you'd get an alert if he posted. But that doesn't seem to be happening.

Under "Today's Birthdays" it says "Members Online Now". The "People You Follow" have their avatars shown above the list of members who are currently online. It is simply an alert to let you know that they are currently visiting, but does not do much more than that. Note: it will only say 'People You Follow" if there is someone on line who you are following.

Besides that, we have some privacy settings that would allow you to limit some things only to the people you follow. For instance, you can set that only those ones can start a conversation with you. Check the menus in Privacy and you will see what the difference is.

It's really not a big deal. I get alerts from time to time, in fact I got one from a long lost member that reappeared the other day, and I thought it was nice...It's not like they are sitting across the street casing the house...

I check my microwave everyday for new "alerts"..... But still dont understand WHY anyone would want to follow ME , especially a bunch of people I dont even know or interact with?

Unfortunately they've been removed.

 

I got some stupid letter from a lawyer with some crap about "restraining order", "imminent threat" and "1000 foot buffer". I'm not sure what any of that means....

If only he'd return just one of my 87 phone messages.
