OK here is my two cents regarding this matter and that's just about what it's worth.

1. I assume you are relatively new at hiring.

2. You obviously fucked up.

3. Being heart broken is, in my opinion, a bit extreme and an over reaction.

4. A loss of $100 is NOT likely to send you to the poor house. An expensive lesson, yes,

but we have all had expensive life lessons.

5. Chalk the entire incident up to a learning experience and don't make the same mistake

again.

6. Now MOVE ON!

I concur with the salient advice which Epigonos rendered to you! We all learn from our mistakes.

James is NOTHING but a CLASS ACT. You don't deserve the deposit back and really shouldn't have posted these things here or at MSS. No wonder he blocked you, and then bragging about Jessie James to boot. Agreed this should come down.

James is always on point and a regular house guest. I wouldn't let this persuade me whatsoever

Builder boy I don't see how or why this should come down. It's a democracy of discussion not a regime here. Dr Marvin seemed to be in the wrong here and the truth has come to the surface so to speak. The doc needs to understand this, learn and move on. Now my issue is a whole nother story.... Everyone wants three sides to the story yet I am waiting to hear from the horses mouth just the second side...ain't gonna happen. The doc was wrong but again part of the story points to character not escorting. 15 minutes really isn't a big deal especially driving that far. Hell raise your hands here guys when you text an escort you are at the hotel on time in the lobby and he texts back to hold on I'm gonna jump in the shower. Do any of us leave waiting a few minutes and then block the escorts number? It's about character and Mr XL. I've stated very matter of fact that he is a good escort. His character as a person is another story. I'm glad that the cheerleaders here have seen a good side of this man.. I am. I for one of Mr XL have not.

first the Tristan/Dave saga just last weekend and now this one......

both contain well-intentioned (?), but inexperienced, clients angry about their own inexperience and the apparent result.....

lots of newbies lately and, yes, we're apt to suspect the veracity of some when we see one-post wonders glowing about a heretofore unknown provider.....other newbies are, obviously, just that - sincere clients looking for first-hire advice or venting about their first bad decision.....we're a militant bunch, at times, and I'm hoping forum members can recognize that there're often three sides to every story......gotta admit I was swayed by the OP's first posts in the Tristan/Dave thread......then by Tristan's......then by Dave's!.........had to be there, I guess.....

I don't know if the 15 minutes you are referring to are from the first or second appointment. If you read the messages relating to the second appointment the escort asked if he could come 'now', arrived at the door, then heard nothing for 26 minutes. I would certainly have left within that 26 minute period too.

Please see below. 15 minutes.

I was seriously brushing my teeth

Ah, I misinterpreted the '26 minutes' tag under the message on the original image. Nonetheless, I would have left within 15 minutes if I heard nothing.

Not that I'm saying you're lying, but does it really take you 15 minutes to brush your teeth?

it appears all miscommunication. "come now or should i wait" can be interpreted differently than "walking to your door now". The Dr. was wrong and admitted it. Yet there wasnt another text at all from the escort in the 15 minute time span waiting supposedly at the door but a text after he left. why on earth would one drive and be driven to take the time to get there, text you are there and not text again at the door within the 15 minute time span? "where are you?", "can you please come and open the door...im here"? that does not at all make sense. But after he leaves and the client texts he texts right back so he can leave and drive all the way back home with the $100 deposit. Again CHARACTER....

$75 deposit and he drove there twice

Still makes no sense whatsoever that within that 15 minute time frame the escort would not text again..."where are you I'm here", " I'll give you 2 more minutes to come to the door or I will leave" having driven that time to get there.... and back. Guys if these were two friends and had the same texts we all know the person waiting would have text again. Now c'mon. Truth is it was easier and faster to pocket the money and leave otherwise a deposit would not have been in the picture... character.

Manhattan and Brooklyn are not that close.

My come now was more “leave the city now”.

I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. Based on the portion of the texts you showed us, it's clear that James arrived a mere 13 minutes early, asked if he should come now or wait until your original 11:30 appointment, and you then told him to "come now". He did exactly as he was told, and then you didn't show up for apparently the second time. You next contacted him a full 15 minutes later with a BS excuse that you were brushing your teeth. Literally no one takes that long just to brush their teeth. If you needed the extra time you should have just told him to stick to the original 11:30 appointment time. Plus, it's winter now, and you shouldn't expect someone to wait outside in the cold while you take your time after you'd just told them to come now. Once you did that, it was only reasonable for him to expect you to arrive immediately, not 15 minutes later.

It is absolutely not believable that you thought that James was asking about leaving to come to your Brooklyn home from Manhattan, when he texted you only 13 minutes before your original 11:30 appt to ask if he should come now or wait until 11:30. If James really was asking about leaving from Manhattan, why would he ask about coming now or at 11:30, when it was already 11:17 when he texted you? Sure, there are some parts of Brooklyn that one can reach within 15 minutes from Manhattan. But no one would be asking about coming now or at 11:30 for an 11:30 appt, if he was still a minimum of 15 minutes away and it was already 11:17 at the time they asked you.

It's clear that you made up a bad excuse to cover for the fact that you lost track of time for the second time to this escort's detriment, and you then got offended when he decided to cut his losses with you. You owe the man several apologies: for wasting his time on both appointments, and then badmouthing him on this thread when he was the victim of your poor time management. You can also throw in another apology for chiming in on that other thread about James to say that you had a negative experience with him, when everything on this thread has established that you were entirely in the wrong, and it was you who inflicted multiple negative experiences upon him.

You just keep digging that hole. Your story is changing, and not in ways that make you look better. First, you tell us you made him wait and he left and then you were peeved he didn't agree to return when you were ready to receive him. Now you're claiming you told him to leave (did you offer to pay him anything for his time, which you wasted?). You at least tacitly admit your fault by saying you've apologized (to us, at least -- you don't say you've apologized directly to him). Yet you still indirectly trash James by saying you "disagree" and that others are better. This was all your fault. Own it. And don't badmouth someone who showed up, was left high and dry, and uncompensated for his trouble. Your behavior was, to put it mildly, shoddy.

Couldn't agree more. Then in the next breath he's upset because James blocked him. I have spoken to Janes directly and trust me , he was not at fault here.

And the cherry on the cake is that he then mentions that he's now seeing Jessie James, and how fantastic he is, as if to say he's so much better than James. It might do well for the good Dr to remember that these 2 fellows are very close and a discussion has already occurred about the Dr's behavior

Agreed. And if you don't want people "still going on about this", you shouldn't have started this ridiculous post.
