I haven't encountered any situations regarding the rampant flu that is taking its toll on folks this year, but I have thought about deep kissing escorts.

Last Friday eve I had much fun with two escorts/masseurs. ...deep kissed each and thought afterwards about contracting this year's flu strain;

thus far I've been all right.

...goin' tomorrow to get my shot which I should have done sooner.

the shot has been reported to be somewhere between 17% and 23% effective this year.

Anyone else run into to situations were deep ( tongue) kissing is being denied by escorts ? Understand the concern for sure.

No, by I wouldn't be surprised if some come up with that excuse.

That's low and is Obama's fault... I'm sure they'll say that.

Please still go get your shots. It’s never too late and 17% is still better than zero. And god forbid if you got sick, the risk of complications would be lower.

The odds are not in your favor of avoiding the flu. Save the cash and skip the shot. Wash your hands and dont touch your mouth or eyes. I've had enough chemicals (not party drugs) in me to last a life time. I'm in no hurry to add another that most likely will not work. But if you so choose to do so, more power to you.

Hugs,

Greg

I had a stomach virus right after the holidays. No symptoms other than the stomach, so my guess is it was not the flu. I also had a flu shot, which is recommended for asthmatics like me. I've noticed that I don't get as sick as I did prior to getting flu shots.

Regarding a refusal to deep-kiss, I don't kiss my colleagues at work, deep or otherwise, yet I still picked up the stomach virus that was going around the office. I postponed on one escort and declined to hire one who contacted me because I was sick and did not want to get THEM sick. Three weeks of non-stop bathroom runs is NOT fun and I don't want to be responsible for getting someone sick.

No. Havent heard that one.

I'd infer that an escort citing flu fears as a reason not to kiss is using it as an excuse. With all of the contact and proximity, its akin to saying "I dont want to get wet" and trying to avoid the stream from only one tiny nozzle on a showerhead.

Really... they'll lay on top of each other. They'll breathe all over each other. Maybe licking, rubbing, grinding, touching, etc etc. If he says those words, he doesnt want to kiss that particular client.

Glad you got the shot! There is a plethora of evidence showing that flu shots reduce the likelihood of serious flu complications, such as severe pneumonia among other stuff, especially if you have predisposing conditions. The last paper I read showed significant reduction in flu-associated ischemic heart attack as well. So considerate of you to be concerned about potentially propagating the infection. So much good karma coming your way for sure.

I’d be a little worried about kissing too. It’s important to do a self risk assessment and see if you want to go for it. I for one am such a big fan of a good kiss so I might actually take a chance!

I remember Aaron Lawrence writing years ago that he was going on a several days trip with a client. They were leaving in the afternoon. Aaron had the flu. Aaron was living with his boyfriend. So the morning on the day of the trip he saw a client. He said ultimately his boyfriend, that morning client and the trip client all got the flu.

That's probably it's best selling point then. Like if you're not one of those bounce back kind of people. My own 3 week bronchitis a few months ago could've been a simple 3 days.

1. Eat healthy. Fresh (frozen is fine) fruits and veggies.

2. If you sneeze or cough do it into your arm. If I see one more person cough or sneeze in to their hand imma punch them in the throat.

3. Wash your hands with hot to warm water with soap for 25 seconds and use the paper towels to shut off the water and to open the bathroom door.

4. Try avoiding touching your mouth, nose, eyes and face.

Hugs,

Greg

Certainly, hand washing with hot/warm water is the best way to get your hands clean. However, alcohol-based hand sanitizer (unlike anti-bacterial soaps containing triclosan) will not cause antibiotic resistance and/or superbugs because it does not contain antibiotics. Here are two articles on the topic:

LOL

Where else but social media can we see someone post a threat to punch people in the throat, with the signature "hugs"?

Alcohol hand rub is ok to use and poses no risk for antimicrobial resistance since the mechanism of microbial activation is through the alcohol itself. The key is how you apply it. Get one or two full squeezes or pumps to coat your whole palm, and rub both hands together including the palms, back of hands, fingers (sides and tips), and wrists. Don’t stop rubbing until your hands are dry. This is how we do it in our hospital.

I e actually had a provider reschedule cause he thought he was coming down with something. Iv done the same with a provider. I’ve canceled cause I have thre flu a mild case but still the flu. I love kissing. It’s a must for me we both knew that larr about me and respected each other enough to let each other know. We continue chatting regularly till we could finally meet and I was even better than I expected. 1. We were Hines with each other. 2. We actually checked in on each other to see how we were feeling. Just show respect and be upfront about things. Nothing wrong with asking questions.
