Yeah I'm on a Mac. Only thing is its a lot of videos I'm trying to download, with Quicktime's screen record I would have to watch each and every video. I just want to download/rip them without need to watch them.

I use a Mac also but have very little computer knowledge. When you say "screen record", what do you mean? Generally, I like to download to my desktop and then I will save to a disc. I like to have a disc of one vid because I generally am going to use it for one purpose (the obvious one) and the recorded vids are just about the right time. I don't usually use Quicktime but that may be only because I do not have the ?app. At any rate, if you could just say how the best way to download to screen so that it could be then downloaded to disc would be great.

If you have a Mac, you have QuickTime. It is the built-in video player. "Screen record" is a function where you can record a video of what you see on screen. You can access the screen recording feature by opening QuickTime, selecting "File" and then selecting "New Screen Recording" from the drop-down menu. If you do not see QuickTime displayed on your computer's dock, open Finder, navigate to Applications, and you will see it. In the unlikely event you do not have it loaded on your computer, you can download it.

I do not know of a way to download directly from OnlyFans or from other sites that use a media player that does not allow downloads.

Would the fact that I see the OnlyFans vids from a particular poster in certain torrents mean that OnlyFans (or at least from that poster) allows downloads?

I'm not following. Are you saying that you can see the videos the poster posts to OnlyFans in a torrent and not in OnlyFans?

Very occasionally I see OnlyFans postings being posted in Torrents sites. I know I have seen Griffin Barrows scenes a lot. And I think I have seen Nick Capra every once in a while. And Gabriel Cross. So yes, I have seen them in Torrents sites. I am pretty sure it is someone that is a subscriber to the OnlyFans site that reposts it as a torrent. Then again I do not know it is a different person nor do I know if the torrent poster had gotten it from OnlyFans and posted it. I suppose they could have seen it somewhere, downloaded it, and then posted it at the torrent site. Oi! At any rate, it seems safe to assume that someone downloaded it at some point off the OnlyFans site.

Hey,

Is there anyway to download/save videos from OnlyFans?

Thanks.

To download videos (without having to watch them in real-time), I use free software called VideoDownloadHelper. I think it only works with Firefox, but you can download just about any video with it (Youtube and, yes, Onlyfans).

OK, got it! Sorry - was being very slow this AM.

It is possible (and likely) that the people who posted them to the torrent site did as I do and recorded from the screen.

You know, it is very possible. But I was not sure. I just knew that somehow they had gotten hold of the OnlyFans vids of various people. Once you are able to download the vid to your computer you could always copy them to a disc. More importantly, I just wanted to do it for someone who I have joined the OnlyFans site. I, as the gentleman above, just did not want to have to roll down to a vid I liked. It would be much easier to grab the one I wanted, download it, and then copy it to disc that I could watch when I wanted. As you may know not every OnlyFans vid is equally enjoyable (when you are paying for it). It was frustrating that I could download some of them (and guys whose OnlyFans site I was not paying for) from a torrent but not from the OnlyFans site itself. I am going to try the VideoDownloadHelper and see if I can figure it out. Thanks very much.

Yeah, I've been using VideoDownloadHelper for years on videos and audio. I may need to remove and re-install it because it's not ripping/downloading the source in its original quality.

Any copyright, legality guilt here?

I guess I would have two questions. Did he have the material copyright(ed?)? I think you have to file papers of some sort to have material copyright. And then, does it change if you have paid for the right to view the material and are downloading it to your computer for viewing yourself. As opposed to downloading it then putting in a torrent where others can view it. I am not sure of the answer to either question.

I’m not sure of exact answer either. But you’re taking product that’s posted for business/profit for the poster and using it how? Or redistributing it?

Not picking on you....just raising th question.

The ethics and legality may be overlapping but separate issues. The OnlyFans business model is subscription based, like Netflix--you can view as much content as you want from a particular user as long as you are paying his (in our case, I assume they are all guys) monthly fee. It's obviously set up to make it difficult to download and then view after the subscription has expired.

Obviously (to me) it's neither ethical nor legal to download and redistribute, especially for profit. There might be some advantage to the performer(s) to have some of the content made available for free, since OnlyFans doesn't have a preview function. But a performer can post short preview clips elsewhere (YouTube, Tumblr, etc.) and that's how I found it. On the other hand, OnlyFan makes recommendations of other performers, and without previews it's hard to know if I'd be interested or not. I could search the performer's name and look for other content, but that step is something a lot of subscribers aren't going to take, so there will be less impulse purchases.

If you have a paid subscription and download to use only for yourself for times when you don't have a good internet connection and can't view the stream, that seems ethical to me if retained only as long as you're paying for the subscription--there's no lost revenue to the performer or the site. It might not be legal, though.

Downloading and keeping the content after cancelling the subscription seems neither ethical nor, surely, legal. But then it falls into the "who is going to find out" category, and that's a line I'm sure lots of people cross a lot of the time.

In my case, there are a couple of videos that I wanted to rewatch and I kept my subscription in part to be able to rewatch them. Then they suddenly disappeared. So I was thinking it would be great if I had downloaded them--there's a kind of implied promise with this sort of service that the best content isn't going to disappear after (in one case) a few days of being posted.

Meanwhile, I messaged the performer who said he was planning to reshoot and repost them. I'm looking forward to that, if not holding my breath!

I guess it is because you are downloading something you paid for and then used just as you were meant to use it. The downloader does not redistribute it any way, he uses it as if he went on the OnlyFans site and looked at it there. Not doing what I originally saw, i.e., went on a torrent which was posted by someone else and downloaded the torrent. You actually pay for it, you do not get it for free.

This is a wonderful look at the distinction between ethical and legal in this instance. The rule follower in me agrees 100%. As a porn performer who has a website where I charge people to view my content, I have a couple thoughts.

If you choose to download someone's video, don't post it other places. That's not only a copyright thing - it's not yours to share - it's just shitty. Yes,I know it happens a lot. Yes, I know porn can be expensive. Yes, I know that you've seen his other videos on free sites. Yes, I know this was a public cam show that you recorded. I even acknowledge the value that can come from "leaked" content. Just don't share it publicly. That's someone's work, and whatever feelings you have about it, it's not yours to share.

I subscribe to the "who's going to know" way of thinking where I do download videos from sites. I just keep them for my personal use. I HOPE that people will do the same with my videos. I think that when someone buys a membership, tbey are buying copies of whatever movies they want for themselves. To me, when I make a video, I get to effectively sell thousands of copies as every member is paying for the same content. I don't need to hold on that tight to my content. Not everyone thinks that way, so I would ask you to be respectful of the performer's/studio's choices. Again, if you download content - whether it was freely offered or you had to do some magic, keep it to yourself.

The only question I have as to the legality (let's leave the ethical issues aside since I think your discussion is great) does each creator on OnlyFans have to copyright the material he posted? Or does the mere posting on the site create a copyright? I recall seeing on some porn something which states that the material to follow has a copyright and that you break the law if you watch it without buying it properly. I think that you have to register it somewhere to get the copyright (some town in Delaware no doubt). If you don't do it you have no copyright and a person can use the product without paying for it.
