Another recommendation if you like uncut latin guys - There is a cool clothing optional beach called Haulover Park about half an hour north of downtown Miami. Very laid back and fun. Crowd not as young and hip as south beach but enough eye candy to make it a worthwhile diversion if you have a morning / afternoon to kill.

Not very crowded during the week but on nice weekends there can be huge traffic jams trying to get there (and park).

Forgot to mention it has a gay section - easy to find, northern most part of the beach, almost all guys.

And FWIW...the sandbar at Haulover inlet is down right legendary...;) On any given weekend...More eye candy than a body can stand.
