This has been attempted MANY times here without success, but its a New Year with new motivations, so let's try it again.

How's about a little meet-up of NY members ? Nothing formal or organized, just a bunch of guys who have agreed to meet somewhere, perhaps Midtown or Village NYC for early dinner or Drinky-poos ?

Of course it would be honor system, but hopefully if you commit, you will show up... And of course members from all neighboring states ARE welcome should they be in NY at the time...

No nekkid working boys (although escorts ARE welcome too), no devilled eggs, no grand itinerary, just a nice little, Friendly Fri or Sat night out.... Sunday brunch could work too for those that might prefer spending triple on their eggs.....

IF this is something you might consider, just reply and we'll see where it goes. Not looking for suggestions of restaurants, times, or anything else at this time. Just your willingness for such an event to occur. Only when all the suggestions and opinions start rolling in does it get complicated and fall apart....

Thanks for listening, and hope wE can make this happen in 2018....

Late February, early March, when the weather is a bit more predictable.....

Early March would work for me. There a few hotties I’d like to see, as well as wanting to spend a few days in the museums. I’ve found some awesome deals in the Financial District over weekends, which is the part of the city with which I’m most familiar, from doing business there. Quiet.

Do we have a date/time/place yet?

If it works out, I am thinking late Feb early March, dinner around 7 pm, and a casual, INexpensive place, maybe Bar-B-Q or a chain like TGI Fridays or Applebees. Not every detail will please or suit every member, and I've already gotten some pvt mail saying "if this or that, then I cant/wont attend"... so I am still weighing the feasibility of doing this.

Yeah...I’d suggest a “full steam ahead” approach in setting this up.

This train has already derailed several times....and it might again.....

I’ve intentionally stayed quiet about my preferences and desires.....

hoping not to make any waves that might sink this endevour.

The event itself....if it ever happens....is more important than the

venue and the particular attendees.

No need to overthink or overplan it. At this point I’d almost rather

be sitting in a bar alone thinking “I wonder why nobody showed up?

...instead of sitting at home thinking....“I can’t believe we fucked it up....again!”

If it’s a Saturday or Sunday meet up, I’d be interested.

Leaning towards an Early Saturday evening, that way people that might come into the city can take advantage of its nightlife afterwards. @nycman - target date will be late Feb, early March as I am dealing with several medical issues at the moment that I need to get out of the way. Thats as much steam as I can give it ! :p

Thank you for all your efforts. Let's keep it simple. Happy hour at a bar, followed by dinner somewhere would be great. There are restaurants that have a decent bar - Five Napkin is a name that comes to mind.
