You must hang with the wrong crowd.

Rudy honestly living the life i live i have a few gay acquaintances but i have seen alot of anecdotal evidence both in real life and virtually to support my claim. Of course no group is 100 percent anything but there is enough ppl in the community to make it shameful. I am not saying people should be forced to like what they dont like. For examplei i rarely find asian men attractive but its not because of their race its simply because asian culture rarely prizes much outside of education so you rarely see asian guys at least stateside with well developed physiques. However when i do i am not only impressed but i am often more intrigued than any other race. On the flip side you have guys who will say i dont like black men even if they are looking at adonises like ll cool j, david mcintosh, bolo, etc etc. That to me shows that there is prejudiced so entrenched into their brain that it is almost involuntary so they think it is preference. Men who like men should like masculinity period.!!!!!!!!!

So where do you put those men that like and seek out "effeminate" men ? Are they excluded or discounted from your equation ?

Saying you dont like someone is not necessarily a prejudice, it's a preference, however can become a prejudice IF it takes on other components. Their is no law that says every human beings taste must be UNIVERSAL.

That says a lot. Most of your complaints about gay men are in the abstract, based on what you have heard. Because you don't know any gay men, it's easier for you to believe all the negative messages about gay men that you receive from the culture at large. A classic case of self-oppression. If you were forming your opinions about gay men based on your direct experience of them, you would be more likely to see gay men as imperfect human beings who defy categorization and to whom generalizations don't readily apply.

I am always shocked to see how unappreciated black men are amongst many in the gay community. Many gay men seem to be proudly prejudice. Whites only just rolls of their tongue like butter on a bread knife.

For ppl who appreciate masculinity black mens bodies are art. Has anyone ever notice the shape of some of the nfl linebackers or running backs? Unreal. How about the exoticness of afro latino men like those from cuba dominincan republic puerto rico or brazil? Has anyone ever been to a basketball court in the city where young black guys are out n about shirtless? You will see 12 packs and muscle definition on men that dont work out. I have always loved the waist to butt ratio and the wide shoulders narrow ribcage and arched spine that gives the bubble ass look and of course the many other blessings i wont go into.

How come its not celebrated more?

I just want a hot black man to fuck me senseless. is that the same thing?

Jesus this thread is a shit show. Most of these comments should fall under "Things defensive White and non-Black Gays say about Black Gays."

I'd prefer hearing nothing about black men from white and white adjacent gays if it's going to be mess like what is being tossed out up here.

Conversations about race and ethnicity are like that. They're never going to make everyone happy.

I am almost exclusively attracted to muscular BBC

Most black gay men don't want to be chased down by non black men to fulfill a BBC fantasy . Newsflash : not all of us black men are muscular and we all don't have massive peens . If you're only interested in a large member or a round butt, you're part of the problem. No one wants to be viewed as a piece of meat unless it's just a hookup.

Anti-black racism exists in all Western cultures, but it's exponentially worse in America due to our rather strained racial history. Children are culturally conditioned by subtle messages in media and culture from birth to find whiteness and white traits more desirable and attractive, and of course anyone who grows up in a white supremacist culture is going to subconciously internalize this. So of course black guys are devalued and underappreciated in American gay culture relative to other places. Gays are not immune from this conditioning. It's very sad as, again, gays love to promote themselves as champions or freedom and equality while leading social lives that look like something out of the segregated south. It does not compute. Some places are much worse than other -- L.A. gays are probably the absolute worst of the bunch when it comes to their secret WHITES ONLY parties and gatherings while parading around publicly as champions of liberalism.

I recommend black guys save up and travel. Go to Europe, go to Australia, go to Asia, go to Africa. Then you can find out your true value. The same perfectly goodlooking black guy who gets shunned and ignored in Los Angeles can go to Berlin and be treated like a God. I wish all black guys could afford to travel. Many are very, very attractive but virtually ignored in the states. Please get out of this insane country as often as possible and find some gays who are actually as progressive and open-minded as American gays pretend to be, when we are really blinded, brainwashed and made stupid by white supremacist conditioning.

So young gay black men just need to go off in search of the right kind of white folks to validate them?

I'm not sure why you would assume that black guys need to save up to travel... lol, but your point is taken, and your post is more accurate than many would like to believe...

The very talk of racism makes a lot of people uncomfortable, defensive, and many retreat into denial. It's messy business, while we try to intellectualize it, but in the end racism is still alive in the gay community, maybe even more so. We are no different than the rest of the population. It is the same in every other major city. It's a fact of life, although having been a native of Los Angeles, I must say that @Aaron_Bauder is quite accurate in his analysis of the gay population there. Many in LA like to claim the moral high ground wrapped in west coast liberalism, when all along in quiet whispers, side glances, rolled eyes and behind closed doors, and on social media, their racism is more pronounced, and more hateful. You learn to live with it, and try to ignore it...but it never goes away. It's always there, just below the surface in innuendos that let you know, that they don't consider you their equal...

I don't get it... If I say I'm not attracted to black men, I'm racist, but if I say I am attracted to black men, I'm fetishizing them? Stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place!

You're simplifying it too much. It is possible not be attracted to black men and not be a racist. Racism has a definitive definition. It is the belief that one race is superior over another. People become defensive and intertwine and confuse preference with racism, but they are wholly different. The OP observed that there appeared to be a lack of appreciation for black men, and pondered the reasons. "Many gay men seem to be proudly prejudice." That is certainly part of it, and more prevalent that one would think, but preference is part of it also. It's a fine line. Many claim they have a preference, when in fact they are prejudice, while others claim that some are being prejudice, when in fact it is really a matter of preference.

To answer the last part of the question, I look at it this way: it's one thing if you find yourself attracted to many black men for a variety of reasons. It only becomes a fetish if you make it into one by, for example, only finding black men attractive or attributing additional characteristics to the black men whom you find attractive that are based on stereotypes and not who those men actually are.

I think I’ve only been with three black escorts in my hiring days-and two were of some type of ‘mixed’ heritage. I will admit to being attracted to some few black escorts. But invariably the ones I am attracted to always advertise as tops. And it’s not like I see that they are tops and then I’m attracted to them. It’s I see their pictures, am attracted to them, read the ad, and find out they are tops.

Almost all blacks in the US are of mixed race. Separating whether or not someone is "black" or of "mixed race" is a misnomer. The identification of whether or not someone is "black" is more a product of our culture rather than skin color.

During the fifteen plus years of posting on this site I have made it perfectly clear that I am an unabashed muscle queen/body fascist. I am posting an ad here from rentmen (https://rentmen.eu/Kobe). I am NOT remotely interested in a discussion of the escort's qualities as an escort. I post the ad only to show the body of the escort. In my eyes his body is drop dead gorgeous. An Anglo, a Hispanic, an Asian, or any other ethnic guy with this body races my motor. I want him in my bed ASAP. Does the fact that I seek guys with bodies like this man’s make me prejudice with regards to twinks – possibly but I really don’t give a shit. Don’t waste my time talking to me about a guy’s color or ethnicity, talk to me about his body type.
