I attempted to contact an escort (who shall remain nameless) last week so that I could attempt to schedule a session. I never got a response. Now (before everyone gets excited), I know that he may have been busy or taking a well-deserved vacation. However, I was wondering if it was usual for an escort to leave a short message on his voicemail informing callers that he will be unavailable during a certain period of time? It seems to make good business sense. Since my contact did not get back to me, I do not

know if he was busy or if he simply was not dependable and, thus, someone to avoid. Any thoughts?

Sometimes it's not possible for an escort to return all calls. There are times when I get 5 to 10 calls per day for my escort ads. Most of those calls are from guys seeking free phone sex while pretending to be legitimate prospective clients.

Some of us escorts become discriminating about which calls are worth returning, based on instinct. Perhaps your message did not leave the right impression. If you call more than once you're more likely to be taken seriously.

Some escorts are picky about who they deal with. But there is no reason to assume an escort is not dependable just because he doesn't return your call.

When I get in the mood, I start placing my calls to the guys I think would fit. I place my calls 15 minutes apart to give them time to respond and the first one that gets through that passes the test gets the job. Eventually most of them call me, but its only a matter of t-t-t-timing.

Exception: When I really want a specific person and will not accept anyone else, but usually, I will book him long before that sudden impulse watching Larry King in the Marriott.

If an escort leaves town, the message on his voicemail should indicate when he will return and/or if he will be returning phone calls while away.

If you do not hear from an escort within a couple days leave another message. He may have accidentally deleted it OR, and you can't imagine how often this happens to me, he may not have been able to understand your phone number if you left it too quickly or from a bad cell.

there is always a question of timing here.

If i 'm booked at the last minutes for an overnight, it happend that i forget to change the voice message on my voice mail and let people know that i'm not available for the night .

And it's only the next morning that i find out that somebody was waiting for my a call back.

I do have a personnal way to work also, if i don't have the all information about the person " as a full name" i won't give a call back. Because i hate to get trouble with the operator when i'm trying to get somebody at whatever the hotel ), . it's the always the same thing, when you don't have the full name, either you try 5 times, and may be a operator will let you go thru to leave a voice message or you'll be lucky and you'll be able to reach the person whitout giving a name; I hate to loose the time this way and i usually don't return the call.

If the same person try twice, i will definitly try to reach the person but otherwise i don't.

Anyway in everycase, nobody is perfet and can make a mistake deleting the voice message or even forget to write it down or whatever the reason.

But i guess, you make the mistake one time and it somebody is really looking for meeting me , he'll try to contact me a second time and then you can catch up your mistake.

Speaking as a legit masseur, if I find a message on my machine which for some reason I have not been able to return within the hour I assume that the client found someone else already. While I sometimes call anyway to apologize for having appeared to ignore them, I often skip that especially if it is latish. Why wake someone up to apologize for that? If you think that this is unrealistic, kindly refer to HooBoy's answer above. Also, I have had some escorts answer my message to them the next day. I remember that one called me 16 hours later thinking that I would still be in the mood and possibly immediately available.

If I am going to be out of touch at an interesting community event I will sometimes leave a message as to what is going on and where to find it. But I get very cryptic if I am going to be gone for overnight or longer, or sometimes do not change my message at all. Even though I have a chowchow who weighs nearly 50 pounds, I always remember (and if I don't my lover is sure to mention it) that there is always the chance that someone who is neither a client nor a phonie, who is in acuality none other than a thief might call, find out til just when he is safe, and raid my premises. Don't scoff too much - clients seem to prefer people who live alone which makes us even more vulverable than those who merely have their names in the phone book.

O MI GOD, steph, i Feel like we are bonding :-)

I totally hate when a hotel operator gives me a hassle about connecting me when i know the room number and the "first" name only.

I must admit, however, that banging heads with this lacky-operator on an obvious power-trip (i mean i do have both his first name and room number for christ sakes) can be a bit cathartic; akin to trying to order pizza-delivery in Europe in the days when only pizza establishments in the US were delivering. You knew you weren't going to eat your pizza at home, but you were a champion of logic, and that can certainly be villifying.

Return those calls, and feel entitled to speak to your potential client when working against the operator.

Sorry about the double posts - we are working of fixing that.

On to the subject at hand. I am not an escort, but I play one on the internet and I always have free advice.

When it comes to hotel operators, first, be VERY nice and say, "I understand m'am, but I am returning his phone call and he says he needs to talk with me. Would you mind calling his room and clearing it with him? My name is "Stef Dream". Or ask them to turn on his light so he can call you back.

Then, when you get to his room, chastise him for doing that to you, make him take off his clothes, grab his money and run.

Oh, wait, that's advice for another escort's website, isn't it?
