RE: The further north you go the better it gets in North America?

>The USA is way behind the rest of the globe, Hawk.

You can say that again - and it's basically the doing of those born again right wing Evangelical Christians that put the idiot in the White House again.

And until they comprehend that their religion is not the only religion in the world, not too much is going to change.

Drive 1500 miles north Deej and join the real world!

Does this now get moved to the relision & politics section where no one will notice it? I hope not.

Gee, all this hatred directed towards Tab, for being who he is, and the condemnation for "not speaking up for gay rights"?

Here's a challenge, to all of you ragging on Tab! Announce to your so, your girlfriend, your wife, your family, your employer and to the general public via a full-page newspaper ad that you are bi/gay and that you hire escort boys! And post a current picture of you in your ad and just how much you spend hiring male escorts and the acts that you hire them for! No? then STFU and STOP condemning others for doing more than you hypocrites are willing to do! x(

The Strides made are definitely important!

BUT the "In Your Face Attitude" where people do things just for shock value! IMHO.. DOES NOT EARN RESPECT for a Lifestyle!

It most certainly did, to bring attention to the Deplorable AIDS Attitude, starting with Reagan til now. But now we are talking about "Lives" NOT Lifestyles. IF everybody lived the Life of the FAB 5 It would be a Wacked existence indeed! IMHO of course..:+

If you consider the bloodshed that ensued in the 60's, society *wasn't* ready. I'm not saying it was the wrong thing to do! I'm saying some factions of society weren't (and still aren't) ready for it.

Would I like to see gay marriage legalized in the US? Yes. Will I continue to lobby for it? Yes. Do I understand Tab Hunter's POV? Yes. Do I think he's entitled to his own POV? Yes.

I agree - he is certainly entitled, I just don't think it's a very intelligent POV - but if he can live with it, so be it.

Don't be so fucking stupid - there is no comparison between what you dared us to do and what Hunter is doing. He's probably going to make a couple of million by doing it. If I could be sure of making that kind of coin, I'd do it too.

I agree with Zipperzone. Before I watched the Larry King interview with Tab Hunter, I was inclined to read his book. I would be interested in having an insight from a Hollywood insider on the experience of gays then and now in Tinseltown. But after listening to him put forth his views on the subject, I think I'll pass and wait for somethig more interesting to come along.

Apart from his views on the rights of gays to marry (i.e. they don't have any or at least none that the USA is prepared to recognize), it was his comment concerning his selective approach to discussing or not other Hollywood personalities that turned me off. Maybe after he is dead and gone, some biographer will do justice to the subject.
