Hoping someone can suggest or recommend a mail order company where I can purchase gay DVDs without having to worry about unsolicited adult junk mail arriving by the truckload...I'm married and closeted and it wouldn't be taken too well...

When you're done with it, cancel it indicating NO FORWARDING.

Not a rental, but for purchase of gay theatrical films, including some soft porn titles, the best prices are generally at http://www.DeepDiscountDVD.com And they charge no shipping or postage, with no minimum purchase required.

 

As an example, of their pricing, "Mysterious Skin" (coming out on DVD 10/25) has a MFSP of $24.95, and lots of places (including Amazon) discount it to $17.49 (plus shipping). Deep Discount DVD is $14.98, no shipping charge. I've been buying from them for several years, and they have been reliable and handled the couple of minor problems I had without any hassle.

 

If you want to check out when a film is coming out on DVD, or what is available out there, the most comprehensive site (They also carry gay porn titles and many hard-to-find titles) is http://www.tlavideo.com Click on "Gay & Lesbian" on the top menu bar to view the gay selections, then "Erotica" if you want the porn selection. Great selection, easy to browse, but prices usually only 10% below MSRP (They discount some deeper, like "Mysterious Skin", since they are also the distributor, but they never beat Deep Discount DVD.)

 

Another site that could come in handy: http://www.dvdpricesearch.com They don't sell a thing, but list price comparisons among different sites, including Deep Discount DVD (which is the lowest 90% of the time, once you figure in no shipping charges)

Try http://www.xrentdvd.com They carry both gay and straight titles and while the cost is a bit more than the neighborhood store might be, it's a great service if you either don't have a neighborhood store or don't want anyone to know what you are renting.

 

I like it because you can search by title, actor, or browse by studio, and you can also sort the list of "newest first" to see what they've added recently.

 

Most brand new titles run about 9.99 but I've seen older stuff for as low as 2.99. They send the DVD's in a plain envelope that includes a return mailer. Just pop them in the envelope and drop it in a mailbox and you are all set.

I think TLA is definitely the site to AVOID if you do not want unsolicited junk mail. About five years ago I ordered a few regular movies from them. Every month or two after that I received their catalogue which is almost exclusively gay porn. I made numerous phone calls and sent e-mails to them requesting that they remove me from their mailing list but they are still arriving. Some of my friends express the same concern about TLA.

I used NYMMEDIA.com For Mail Rentals. They have quite a Selection of all XXX with different RENTAL Plans. I am not sure if they would send to Mail Box Numbers though? :+

The thing I do like about TLA is with their Junk Mail, you can also be aware of any Gay DVD'S that make it onto your Local Blockbuster's Shelves..

The Gay Content does seem to be popping up more and more. The Latest one's I ran across was 'Burnt Money", "His Secret Life" and "Sugar" Dam good little Gay Indies! :+
