It boggles my mind that so many gay men don't get the male bonding thing. Do we not have dear, dear male friends, whom we deeply love, that we would never consider lusting after? Maybe many of you don't.

Gay men love a good sex fantasy and nothing I say will stop gay men from making absurd proclamations insinuating their desire to see some Hollywood hunk sucking cock. But most of the talk is cheap, much like the guys who insist their fantasies are true.

I work closely with celebrities from both coasts and I can tell you first hand, never judge a book by its cover. You never know the whole story unless you hear it from the horse's mouth. Rumor and innuendo is big business. Follow the money.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are not gay. But they are old, close friends who happen to love their gay friends. They're the type of straight guys gay guys enjoy because they're completely cool. They're secure with their sexual selves and they recognize and appreciate a gay man's lust as flattery. They have no desire to suck your cock.

I became friends with a well-known straight actor while working on a lengthy project together. He was a classic, cool straight guy from Texas, in his late 20's. He was fucking one of the female leads and the three of us bonded. While visiting his dressing room, he came from the shower completely naked and caught us both by surprise. It was very obvious to him that my eyes took hold of his incredible body of porcelain white skin that featured the most beautifully shaved cock and balls. The first words out of my gaping mouth were, "Wow, what a great shave!" He said, "You like it?," and I said, "What's not to like?"

Then out of nowhere he said, "You want to suck it?"

Life isn't a porn movie and sexual nuances are usually far more complicated than they seem at first, especially at work. Even though I would have loved to take him up on his offer, I told him the offer would have to wait until our work was done. He said to let him know. He also mentioned that the actress he was fucking would love to watch.

We both new he wasn't gay (he expressed no desire to suck my cock) but he was certainly cool enough to let "me" suck his cock to fulfill his girlfriend's fantasy. More importantly, he liked me as a friend and he trusted me.

I have little respect for gay men (or anyone) who views life in black and white; you have to be one thing or the other. That thinking is so narrow-minded. I also have little respect for gay (or straight) men who wear lust on their chest like it's some badge of honor. The age of porn is killing civilized manners and sensibility and it's killing too many gay men. But maybe that's for another thread.

Guest Tristan

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck knew each other from childhood in Cambridge, MA where they went to school. As rightly indicated, they have been close friends for a long time, and I believe their families were also close. It was their close friendship that enabled them to produce one of my favorite films of all time, "Good Will Hunting." I was living in the Boston area at the time. So I had the opportunity to see the film when in opened in a Cambridge theater not far from some of the scenes in the flick. I had even sat in the same seating area in Au Bon Pain, the French patisserie in Harvard Square that was used in a scene in the film. (Please excuse me if I digress from the main topic. This film will always be close to my heart.)

As RockHard pointed out, many gay people want to see all these str8 celebrity friends as being secretly gay. Makes for great fantasy, and there's certainly nothing wrong with fantasy. But we shouldn't make assumptions when there's no evidence to support them.

I look forward to the day when caring, male-male relationships are the stuff we can support unconditionally, instead of something that gets automatically turned into something to help us get our rocks off.

Yes, it's fun to fantasize when they're as hot as Damon & Affleck; I just cringe when I think there might be two other young men who might get torn apart from being close buddies when a label that society hates (e.g. "gay") gets put on them. Maybe getting rid of that societal homophobia will be the first step.

It would if things went your way. However, there are several countries where societal homophobia is fairly absent. Yes, there may still be a large number of individuals with homophobic and/or racist beliefs. But a society can legislate it so that homophobia and racism are no longer accepted by society. A person can still be a racist or homophobe. However, if he fires someone because of his race or sexual orientation, he'll pay the consequences. Believe what you want, but don't step on others' toes because of your small-mindedness.

Labeling me again as homophobic. Lovely!

I see how it is, you're referring to pro-family/anti gay mariage believers as homophobic. Another name calling label. You're good at that!

I believe in the last election the people of this great nation overwhelmingly outlawed gay marriage in a number of states. Good luck with your agenda.

>A person can still be a racist or homophobe.

If someone disagrees with you, you simply label them a racist or homophobe. You have so many labels you could be campbells soup.

Most employers can fire you simply for being under the suspicion of being gay, even if youre straight. You really need to brush up on the law.

I can't believe what I want, you will out me!! Remember? And thanks again for kindly labeling me as "small minded." I'm still waiting for you to label me as an "extremist."
