Great idea, Barron. It would be really cool to do an auction for an worthwhile AIDS related charity, though and get a bunch of escorts from around the country to participate.

HooBoy - I think that that is a marvelous idea but wouldn't that put you and the site in danger? Your disclaimer that this is not an escort agency might be questioned. I remember in the 70s when the LA cops and their helicopters raided a similar slave auction for charity. I know it's a couple of decades later, but ...

Then again, maybe if the participating escorts each had their own auctions on their own sites (somehow showing you the money going to the charity) and you just listed them as a public announcement on a page similar to the one where you show the top ten from last year?

Wonderful idea!! I'd break my piggy bank to buy Leandream1 for a good cause!

My preliminary thinking would be to line up limo's, dinner's - complete ENTERTAINMENT packages. The escorts would be hosts in their own city. I'm sure certain services and restaurants would donate in exchange for publicity and goodwill. If the escort's generosity extended beyond showing the winning bidder the town, it would be beyond the scope of our involvement. The "Dating Game" chaperone would just have to find something else to do with his time.

 

A couple of problems that I can envision. 1. Escorts might not want to participate. 2. Too much publicity might be generated. Good for me, good for the charity, but maybe not for the escort. Unless the site becomes a pay site, then it could be good for the escorts in that the people who are paying to peek are the ones that could be potential customers. And I would think an escort who participated would be looked upon in a more positive light.

 

Also, it might be a different way to pick the "Escort of the Year."

 

The upside is good karma if there's such a thing. :-)

 

BTW, Blade, my condolences on your recent mishap. I wanted to personally write you, but I didn't think it would do to have my email address popping up on your computer.

HB is referring to some entanglements which have meant my retiring as one part of this site, but I still mean to remain as an appreciator. Noone expects my home to be searched and so far as I know the gendarmes do not as yet employ hackers to search home computers without telling their human friends. Hackers vs Hookers?? <giggle>
