Hurrican Housing

http://www.hurricanhousing.org (while a project of MoveON, it is totally non-political), is offering free housing to people displaced by Katrina. I personally know people from as far away as Los Angeles, Tucson, and Hawaii who have offered and/or placed people from Alabama and New Orleans to date.

 

If you know of anyone who NEEDS housing or would like to offer housing, please refer them to this site. It also has the links that most everyone from Fox News to ESPN to the New York Times websites have for people to donate funds for hurricane relief.

I think that there's a site specific for newly-homeless gay/lesbian people at http://www.rainbowrelief.org They do not accept donations, by the way. They're a free website service.
