Mickeys(West Hollywood)visit on a pleasant summer night

Met some friends at Mickeys tonight.They were a little dissapointed that the twink I had raved about from my last visit was not there-and the Porn Star(cocktails with the stars)was 1-1 1/2 hour late)But my friends paitience has its rewards!If they would have come back at 9 they would have found 3 gourgeous boys on boxes!If you are in WEHO on a thursday night check it out!It is not Montreal-but it is the best thing in LA right now.

BTW-the porn"star"was Lex something and he was a wreck.Just flying!

Don't get me wrong! I've enjoyed the Micky's boys many an evening, even the str8 ones that move away when you tip them. It's actually sorta fun to see how creative they can get to keep you from touching them.

 

You'd just think LA, home of the buffed and pretty (and surgically altered), could do better for a full-time strip venue. The talent is present.

True, true. WeHo dancing boy scene seems not to be what it once was (mid to late 1990's), and even then it had its limits. Still at least they had g-strings back then! Too bad.

My experience has always been that the dancers at Mickeys perform a strip TEASE. Also, friends and I were there 2 months ago and swear we were served spiked drinks (very drunk with one well drink each, massive headaches the following morning). Would only be served a beer that is opened in front of me is the the new rule there.

Way back when

 

There used to be (years ago) a place called Goliaths on Melrose near La Brea I think. They had nude dancers with raging hardons. When they climbed down off the platforms, there seemed to be a lot of groping. Then L.A. passed the alcohol= no nudity ordinance that prohibited full strippers anywhere there was alcohol served. I think there was another bar near Goliaths (back then) which also had nude hardon dancers but they worked the floor. The place was so packed that I recall getting blown right there in the bar (not in some back room) and nobody said anything except can I do you next? Those were the days. I was too young to really appreciate all of the fun to be had there (I think the name of the place was Timber Wolfs or something like that). Also, a place called Dude City on Highland had dancers on occasion. Ahh, the memory is going as well as the vision.

I found it more to be a tease than a strip, since the last couple of times they mostly wore shorts, pants and there was hardly a butt or even leg to be seen. Maybe it was the wrong night....

Ah, the good old days.

 

I remember the days when go-go boys dancing nekkid on a bar would squat and let you take a few slurps for a buck. You soon learned to keep close track of your drink or sooner or later some dancing boy would kick it off the bar by accident.

 

The AIDS crisis (before it was called that) caused a lot of municipalities to change their laws and put a LOT of strip clubs & bathhouses out of business. ;(

Your right about Goliath's. I used to dance there in 1970-71 when I was going to grad school. Goliaths was a beer bar which meant they didn't have the same restrictions as a full service bar. The County changed that in 1974. What a shame. The dancers were up on platforms that were behind the bar and another behind a rail so patrons couldn't touch the dancers on the platforms. The bar was the "raided" several times for lewd performances while I worked there. The owner's lawyer always managed to get the charges dismissed, but they instituted a rule that

dancers couldn't touch their dicks on stage but if you "sprange" a hardon without touching that was OK. After your "set" and you left the platform you had to walk thru the bar to get to the dressing room. It was like being thrown into a tank of hungry sharks. It was fun place to dance and to play as a customer.
