In what appears to be the final note in this sad tale which took place in 2005, it was reported in today's La Presse, a Montreal newspaper, that the taxi driver who had driven the two American strippers to the Laval nightclub and was seen chasing them over a fence on the club's videocam, has commited suicide. His body was found in his apartment after he had not been seen for some time. He had hanged himself.

 

He never came forward but communicated through a friend at the time of the incident. Apparently he was an immigrant and had no family in Canada. He had chased the boys because they had exited his cab without paying the $40 fare. He gave up when the boys disappeared over the fence. Later when it was learned they had fallen to their deaths, he was pretty cut up by it and never got over it, according to his friend.

 

A sad ending to a sad story all around.

Sad Indeed!... There are thing's in Life that are hard to deal with and cicumstance's sometime's make them seem impossible to deal with.

 

I'm sure he was a very good person to be so tormented over the situation. A Tragic end to definitely a Tragic Accident that should have never happened.
