I know that my popularity here has been mixed since founding EscortSpeak. During that experience I had an opportunity to really review the process and my personal goals in this arena.

 

Several who I'm close with from this MC, I believe, understand what I was attempting to do and why I was evicted or left depending on your personal view. For those who do not know me I assure you it wasn't as sinster as it appeared.

 

I believe EBG/EBP has also come to the realization that EscortSpeak is more trouble than it's worth to maintain. Most likely he and another poster here (I cannot release his name at this point) are working on the larger plan of that site. But the EscortSpeak message center is done in my opinion. Even the regular posters now see it as nothing more than a shell and have returned here to spread their agenda.

 

I don't regret starting the site nor do I regret being evicted/leaving. It was an education that one can only experience from the inside.

With all due respect, I don't think that the problem with your popularity came from the founding of escortspeak. It came from the way that you and others ripped into regular members and moderators of this board on that other forum.

 

Prior to your split, I had always viewed you (perhaps incorrectly so) as one of the people who were the glue for this site. Thus, I was quite surprised to see the negative enthusiasm and venom with which you attacked others over there. Maybe I was just naive.

 

There are those who participate in ES, who are, simply, social misfits. I don't view you as one of those.

 

I'm not sure if your post is an attempt to say "I quit and I'm not sorry for anything that I did" or, "I made a mistake in my treatment of members of the MC that I regret". If its the latter, I would encourage you to use the PM feature to fix the damage that you have done tio your own reputation with individual members of this site.

You created EscortSpeak in response to the actions of an out of control moderator who was drunk on his little bit of power and afforded those of us who had been abused by that same moderator an opportunity to continue to be heard. HEY BoN - He couldn't even adhere to his abstinence vow for 2 days - not even 2 days. Contemplate for a moment what this failure on his part says about the level of his obsession and the amount of importance we play in his "life".

 

He came and publicly swore that he would cease posting on the only topic he has demonstrated any interest in - us. He vowed never to speak about us again!

 

And yet a mere 48 hours later - knowing the amount of humiliation this would subject him to - he nonetheless couldn't resist. He had to hit the REPLY button in order to talk about us again, to call us names, to wallow in our being.

 

Aside from Conway's tragic obsession, isn't it rather obvious that there is this compelling, irresistible need to keep saying over and over how ES is dead? They think if they say it enough times, it will become true - and they hope so much that it is true, while not being able to do anything about it, that declaring it dead over and over is their only hope.

 

As for FA - really, could anything be more transparent than this little announcement? Someone starts a website, has a public nervous breakdown on it, gets kicked out of his own website and all his powers taken away, tries unsuccessfully to destroy it, and when all else fails, comes and declares it dead. That's going to be persuasive to anyone?

 

Shorter Four Aces: "I started Escort Speak - they kicked me out - they took away all my powers - it caused me to have a nervous breakdown in public - I tried and failed to destroy the site - so now I think it's worthless."

 

I knew when ES began that it would drive lots and lots of people here crazy knowing that there was a place for people to say what they want in an uncensored way, but never in my wildest dreams did I think that the existence of such a place would drive so many people this insane.

You, on the other hand, Conway, owe all of an apology for the way you have acted which is contrary to your stated opinions of what a Church Lady should be. In fact, you ower 4Aces an apology for all the times you have bashed EscortSpeak, "The Mean Girls" and all the members individually.

As you know, Doug, the MC has never had a shortage of drama queens who make big, dramatic announcements that they are "never again" going to do this or that, only to reverse themselves a few days (or hours) later and do the very thing they swore "never again" to do. That kind of behavior is about as unusual here as rain in a rain forest. Stereotypes can't exist without having some basis in reality, and the stereotype of the gay man as silly, self-dramatizing and prone to hysterical outbursts is based on people like that. What a pity that the rest of us have to live with the burden of that stereotype because of a few unstable creatures!
