So, what happened to the notion of a gentleman's club here? On one hand, this place has become boring in some respects. On the other, people like Miss Adler are bemoaning all the negativity and the meanness on the board (and this is AFTER the exodus of the MEAN GIRLS CLUB!)

Is it simply not possible?

Well, since Daddy let you back it appears the "Gentleman's Club" has lowered it's standards. :+ (Just kidding BoN.)

You bring a different perspective to things and I'm sure you're pickled tink to have your posting rights restored. I'm starting to see some of the formers guys appearing again so I suspect we'll soon return to business as usual.

Welcum back sir!

It's business as usual over here... You have your escort-client headbutting girls in the center of the room, your giggly girls sitting in the corner gossiping, your nasty girls sitting in the other corner gossiping, and the gentlemen have left for the backroom for a brief private dance with their favorites. And Erik cutie that he is drops by from time to time and breathes us a little flame to make sure we're all warm and snuggly :p

How's life been treating ya? The dragon ladies still OK?

Even the gentlemen in Toledo, Ohio are concerned about the rules. Here is a petition gathering signatures::

To: Toledo, Ohio City Counsel

This is to the Toledo, Ohio City Counsel concerning laws that have been recently imposed on Gentleman’s Clubs.

Having just returned from Platinum Showgirls, a Gentlemen’s Club in Toledo, Ohio, me and two of my friends were discussing recent laws that have been imposed to “protect” exotic dancers that work in the said establishments. I found out about these recent laws by word of mouth from an announcer and also an internet source. These are a few of the laws that went into effect as of I believe August 1, 2003.

1. If dancers are to touch patrons with sexual body parts (i.e. breasts, vagina, buttocks), these said parts must be clothed.

2. Dancers cannot take tips from the hand of a patron while topless or bottomless.

3. Dancers cannot use previously stated body parts to take tips from patrons.

4. During private dances, if a dancer is going to take off any article of their clothing, they must be at least two feet away from the patron.

5. Patrons cannot touch dancers during private dances.

6. Number One also applies to private dances.

7. Dancers cannot touch sexual parts (penis, buttocks) of the patron.

I know there are a few more minor laws, but those are the major ones. The thing that really bothers me about some on these laws is that it almost makes it more worth it to spend one dollar and get a quick personal dance instead of twenty to get a private dance. Considering the point of the concept of a private dance, anything that the dancer may want to do to the patron (or vice versa, obviously up to a certain point) should be allowed. Now I am quite aware that most reading this may be thinking that this petition is product of a testosterone driven eighteen year old, but I assure you, it is not. Personally, I can live with the laws when it comes to the matter of what dancers and patrons can and cannot do. But the reason I am writing this petition is that I believe how much touching can go on should be the choice of the dancer or even the club at which she is employed. I talked with one of the announcers at Platinum about this particular issue, and he told me that ever since those laws were imposed, Platinum has lost a lot of business and money. Also, considering that I am sure the two other major clubs in the area (Déjà Vu and Scarlett’s) are losing business as well, it is safe to assume that the whole general area is probably losing business since not as many people would travel to the area. Many people are going to Michigan where no such laws are in place and that will harm our local economy. While the idea of these clubs losing money may make some who are overdriven with morals (or other personal reasons) happy, that does not make it right. No matter what the type, people go into business to make money, and if needless laws prevent you from doing that, what is the point? It is practically the same thing as telling a video games store that they cannot sell “M” Rated games, or telling a convenience store that they cannot sell cigarettes and alcohol. Just because some people do not agree with it, you should not tell them that they cannot do it. Also, you will never see a local government ban the sale of those “M” Rated games or the sale of tobacco/alcohol. Now, if I haven’t proved my point enough, I will restate the basic issue: you should not tell clubs and exotic dancers how they can touch/take tips/et cetera. If a guy wants to touch a dancer, and she doesn’t want him to, that is what security is for. So let them do their jobs. Also, let dancers do their jobs, which is to please a paying customer. But if they are told by the government that they CANNOT touch a patron, that makes it a lot harder. So to the Toledo City Counsel, please upon receiving these petitions, consider revising the laws against Gentleman’s Clubs. Not only are you causing them to lose money, but you are also basically ruining the whole point of going to such establishments. And considering nobody wants to lose revenue and business because of pointless laws, all you are doing is hurting, not helping.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Here's what Doug69 posted over there today in regard to someone he doesn't like:

"I think I'm going to jerk off now thinking about bashing his stupid empty head and face in with a baseball bat until it shatters."

Truly RevoltingRevolting. Such a nice intelligent man.

If you find it so offensive, Lucky, then why re-post it or are you just trying to create trouble here, since your attempts at the other board have failed?

If he found the sort of thing posted on the other board offensive, it wouldn't make sense for him -- as well as other hypocrites like Raife and TY -- to spend so much time reading it. But they do read it. Then they come here to wag their fingers and shake their gray heads over the "meanness" and "nastiness" of it.

The moral of the story is, if you're looking for people who practice what they preach -- or better still, who don't preach at all but just mind their own business -- you're in the wrong place here.

RE: Lord of the Flies

I posted above in reference to Beware of Nick's signature about how beautiful free speech is over at escortspeak. The remark I quoted was not even pretty, not to mention beautiful.

Escortspeak may be a courageous attempt at uncensored posting, but the bully in charge is Doug, and they are all aware of it. He funded the site and he will bring it down. Even when he gets as disgusting as he did above, only two people there called him on it. The rest are either intimidated by him, or find the idea of shattering this escort's skull hugely entertaining.

Lucky, Lucky, Lucky.

Free Speech IS a beautiful thing. It is one of the concepts under which this nation was founded. (It is something that the current administration is opposed to but that's another forum). The important thing is that free speech applies to the speech that you like and more importantly to the speech that you DON'T like.

As for Doug, you know how he is and that he speaks his mind. I don't care for the image either, but I understand the contect in which it was written.

RE: Lord of the Flies

I doubt the problem is with what Doug said, but more with who he said it about.

mbarz says "I doubt the problem is with what Doug said" which was this:

"I think I'm going to jerk off now thinking about bashing his stupid empty head and face in with a baseball bat until it shatters."

You might think differently if it was YOUR head Doug was talking about, but I don't think we should condone anybody's head getting bashed until it shattered. Doug will just have to jerk off to something else.

I seem to remember a time some years ago when the late lamented escort Sean posted on this board a threat that he would take a baseball bat to the head of anyone who violated his privacy by writing a review of an appointment with him for this site. I do NOT remember a post from you expressing outrage at what he said. Your outrage seems to be extremely selective. And hypocritical.

We're not talking about baseball, Rick. We're talking about why it is that Lucky objects to one post about assaulting someone with a baseball bat but not to another such post by a different person.

But don't let that stop you from inserting yet another post that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the thread and serves absolutely no purpose other than to draw attention to yourself. If you allowed anything to interfere with your relentless self-promotion on this board, I think the shock might be too much for me.

Lucky,

I didn't see the post you quote. But it doesn't surprise me one bit. In fact, it seems right in character.

When the other board started up, I found it oddly fascinating watching the "real" personalities of a few long-term M4M'ers emerge. Unfortunately, not one of those personalities was even slightly attractive or interesting. It only took a couple of weeks to become totally bored with all the juvenile crap. Reading the posts is very much like listening to seventh-grade boys arguing with each other, each trying to be the bigger man, each trying to outdo the others with some fantastic claim or some outrageous insult. I haven't been to the site in quite a while and don't see any reason whatsoever to waste even five minutes of time doing so.

My recommendation is to simply ignore it. When the neighborhood kids yell insults at each other, I don't pay attention to them, either.

RE: Withering

BG, thanks for the advice. There were indeed some real surprises when the other site took shape. FourAces and Eastbayguy were two of my favorite posters here, and I enjoy BofN's spunk and grit a lot, even though we often disagree tactically. I guess I still think like Rodney King that we will all get along, but I can hear the groans already! So your advice is well-taken.

Yes Lucky, judging by your post on the other board it's so obvious that you're just trying to get along.

No BON, don't you get it, for them to do that they would have to admit they were wrong, what you did was wrong, they were justified in their actions.
