I don't know many Asians well, but most appear to be very into family. A lot of what whites take for granted in the way of personal autonomy doesn't even seem available to Asians because family obligations are felt so keenly.

 

I know one young Asian guy pretty well from my gym - American-born Chinese. His parents are foreign-born and he lives with them. He's about 20 years old and we talk all the time mostly about working out, but really about anything. He asks me for advice all the time - on fitness and working out, about his career, etc. He could be gay, but I'm not sure. I lived in Sao Paulo Brazil from 2005-2007 and also travelled there frequently over about a 25 year period. Needless to see, I hired hundreds of sauna boys (garotos) at the Brazil saunas over the years. I never saw an Asian garoto in the sauna in spite of the fact that there is a large Japanese/Brazilian population in Sao Paulo that has been there for many decades. Plenty of Asian customers....but no garotos. I know there are Asian female escorts and garotas in Sao Paulo but few if any male counterparts.

 

Campus and Stock Bar in Montreal have very very few Asian strippers in spite of there being a decent sized Asian population in Montreal.

 

There could be multiple causes for there being a lack of Asian men working in the male sex industry. Some mentioned up-thread and some not mentioned. Lack of demand for muscular Asian males would be my guess.

Noting cultural differences is not racist, but all too often "Asian" is used to mean "East Asian." You are spot on regarding the importance of education to East Asians, particularly Han Chinese and Koreans. But the importance of family, not shaming them, and marrying and having children is probably paramount. It's also a culture that places less emphasis on individual fulfillment, more on achievement and conformity to social norms.
