Trump says he'll debate if CNN pays him $5M (for charity). May I have that in written, please?

"I won't do the debate unless they pay me 5 million dollars," Trump said.

Trump had raised the idea of being paid to participate in the last CNN Republican debate in September, when he wrote in a letter to CNN president Jeff Zucker, "While I refuse to brag, and you know very well, this tremendous increase in viewer interest is due 100% to Donald J. Trump."

Trump said, at the time that Zucker should donate all the profits that CNN was receiving from increased advertising rates to veterans groups.

Ugh. The presidency is truly for sale when a candidate pulls a stunt like this and holds a debate hostage. It makes me think his campaign is solely for the purpose of brand management and as soon as he's achieved maximum destructiveness, he'll pull out.

Tacky, tacky, tacky.

Ring the bell, we have another winner that's figured out the Trumpsters strategy :)

And a lot (but not all as we know) of Republicans love him for his antics. Imagine the fool having the codes.

I doubt very much that Trump will drop out unless he says something so incredibly stupid and racist that even his followers (where is Bozo T Clown, volunteering for Trump?) will give up on him.

Conclusion: Trump will say something very stupid and racist and drop out. He has to keep upping his volumn and over-the-top comments.

The good news is that anyone who ever wondered if Trump was in it for the voters, or for himself, now has the answer.

It's impressive that someone gives to a charity but that's lost when they become boastful about it. Donald is not a kind person and he wants $5 million for a charity as another stunt to show the tough guy can extort $ from CNN. Think of the couple that just put $500,000 in a Salvation Army bucket and wants to remain anonymous. Or the elderly immigrant couple that left their money to the US government. The first because they once had it so bad food was hard to come by and they know others have it very tough today. The second because this country gave them a safe life with real freedom and they were grateful and wanted in their small way to help keep it going.

Zuckerberg and Buffett aren't giving billions away for ingenuine reasons.
