How much is too much to pay for 1 hour in or out? 200, 250, 300, 400?

re Backpage - I took a chance on a guy who advertised there as Xander in the summer of 2014. We now know him better out here as Brian Kevin. Suffice to say, I'm glad I took that risk. Sometimes it really does pay off (no pun intended). :)

I admit to being a windowshopper more than a buyer. I'm not made of money, and though I have had some great times with escorts, I realize I can't do it as often as it sounds like many of you out here do. But I tend to check out the Boston ads on all the sites fairly regularly, and do take note of the guys that I would love to hire if/when I'm feeling like I can spend the dough. For me, 200 is reasonable, 250 is doable if he really has the qualities I'm looking for, 300 is a "probably not" unless he's really someone I think is worth splurging for. Below 200 is great, but I would tend to proceed with a bit more caution. (I have met several guys that were in the 150-175 range who weren't bad, lol.)

You are my twin soul, Bostonman.

Depends on the guy for me.

I've been talking to a guy who has been my pornstar crush from the very beginning of his known career (10-14 yrs). His rate is a bit high, but you know what... in his case I don't care. It's not the norm and I wouldn't normally do it... but for him, you bet your ass I'm ponying up.

There are a number of working guys who've been the same rate from the first day I met them to present. Some of them raised their rates, but only charge me the rate when we met. Others have charged me a higher rate only to decrease it on continued visitations. :)

If you want a pornstar, go to Prague. Cheaper to pay air fare (even from Seattle), rent an apartment (or even nice hotel in off season -- now) and get a porn star for the night for $400 - $500 than pay $400 for an hour in the US

I see a number of guys on the various websites in NYC that were only recently picking up tricks on the street for $50 that now seem to think they should be getting $300. Please don't ask me for names.

Where does one pick up anyone on the street in NYC?

Let them all raise their rates to $300, $400, heck why not $600 an hour. Then they can all fight over the same market, which will be made up solely of one Texas Jimboi. At least none of the escorts selected will have to fly coach!

I think it's unfair to single out one poster who doesn't mind paying for what he gets. Over $300 is certainly not my everyday norm, but I'm not afraid to go higher if I sense and research value.

Probably many lurkers here who prefer not to discuss what they are willing to pay, or have already posted on this same topic as it pops up over and over :)

  • 2 weeks later...
My rate when I started was 250/280 and after 6 years I raised it to 280/320. Looking over Rentmen ads last week I found that most guys were doing incalls for between 225-250, but many higher and lower. There is no simple answer here, however I have to say, I'm annoyed when I'm traveling somewhere and someone messages me simply to tell me that I'm charging too much. I usually just ignore there email however sometimes I will let them know that I'm staying plenty busy so others must not agree.

We are service providers and the amount that we can charge is based entirely on the quality of our work and the desirability of our service. The idea that there is a maximum that anyone should charge is like saying that there is a max that should ever be spent on a dinner.

Men want a Lotus Exige...but only want to pay for a Chevy Cruze---2 words for those men "Bye. Felicicia."

It is really surprising how many of these escorts are now demanding $300. Look at Phoenix, AZ. Amazing to me.

Somehow the word here "demanding" irks me? How is quoting a price, any price, "demanding"? Does the Porsche dealer demand vs. the Hyundai dealer?

Whatever the market will bear, supply/demand, etc. Learning curve for escorts and clients as well?

I’ve been hiring for about 15 [sic 30] years. I’ve paid as low as $150 and as much as $300 per hour in a variety cities across the country. For me there has been zero correlation between price and quality of experience.

+1

There are those of us who don't mind traveling (brazil, thailand, cuba, spain) to engage the services of escorts in saunas who charge a lot less (i.e., <100$). At home in nyc, the average i would consider paying these days is about 200-250. I rarely consider ads 300 or higher.

I'm a bit offended even by the title of this thread:

How much is too much to pay for 1 hour in or out? 200, 250, 300, 400?

Ain't nobody got no business meddling in my finances. How I choose to spend my money. Who I choose to spend my money on. Or how much money I spend on him. That's my business.

If you like a guy, including his rates, and the guy makes an appointment with you. Then have fun.

If you like the guy, but don't like his rates, keep on window-shopping and STFU about what you are not willing to pay. Remember the fact that no poster on this forum has ever said the $500/hour experience is directly correlated to the quality of a date as a $85/hour experience - no never - SARCASM.

Dat's why God made Diamonds and Cubic Zirconium!

What does STFU mean?
