i have tickets for the Preview show on Halloween, anyone hear any word on this production of Sideshow?

I saw the preview of this in DC at the Kennedy Center and really enjoyed it. The two female leads are incredible... and while there were aspects of the story I felt were somewhat predictable, it was still a good show and worth seeing.

I am not a strong advocate for "Side Show," either the original or the upcoming Broadway revival. But, I do know that Alice Ripley had voice problems during and after "Next To Normal," which she starred in on Broadway and on tour with Aaron Tveit, after "Side Show."

 

 

I wonder if the producers of "Side Show" hired lead singers who were not known for their belting songs, because of what happened to Ripley. It's my understand that Ripley's and Skinner's songs are sung without the belt in the revival. Even Ethel Merman missed a week of the original cast run of "Gypsy" on Broadway after bursting a blood vessel in her throat, and Bernadette Peters had problem with the songs in "Gypsy" on occasion in a revival.
