Well, PK, as it turns out, your speculation was on the mark.
Not really much of an insight.

Man who dedicates a signficant amount of his time and efforts to this place, suddenly and inexplicably leaves without so much as a TaTaForNow, is not likely spending his new found life planning a party for the people he left.

Perfectly put PK. I've known LBT as a Forum friend and close personal friend for 3 1/2 years and he is a fantastic person who has intense loyalty to many--the working guys who he supported and respected, his many friends on and off the Forum, and the Forum and all its events. His development and expansion of the DC Luncheon was awe inspiring and the event was so much fun with such a wonderful variety of activities to appeal to all attendees interests. Many may not know, but he also organized events at the Palm Springs get together, always being respectful not to conflict with the formal events.

The time, effort, and person interest he put into this will be extremely difficult to follow. I hope someone in DC or NYC can step forward, but it is a difficult task to fill LBT's shoes!!

Love ya my friend. Enjoy your well deserved personal life.

I'll do it.

Frankly, this is too important an event to not run every year.

I have worked with LBT every year for the past four DC luncheons. Some of you may remember The Fuck House tours in my apartment for those first three years, right after lunch at Annie's. Ha, some of you even took part in the demos!

Anyway, I spoke with him just now, and went over the schedule that he ran year after year. I may consider some logistical changes. For example, the Eagle Bar has since moved to a locale outside DC, and it's not open yet; Annie's Restaurant (where the actual luncheon was held) may have become too small for the number of attendees. However, the essence of the weekend - a social gathering of forum readers in DC during MAL weekend - will remain intact.

DC's has been and continues to be a great place for me as an escort. I'm happy to give back to this city and the hiring community - clients and fellow escorts alike - in this way.

  • 2 weeks later...

"if anyone knows how to give and keep giving until it hurts, it is you Dave. I believe you also receive and keep receiving until it hurts, but I digress." - you know, purplekow, I once was a victim of chocolate cupcakes that I had to receive until they hurt - yes I turned the tables and things got messy, but that was in self defense, my friend! remind me to tell you that story, if you want to hear it live sometime...

countryboywny, thanks for the thanks! although I haven't done anything yet.

well, actually - I have located a GREAT restaurant for our luncheon. it's LGBT friendly, we will have the whole place to ourselves, there's lots of food choices, there's a full bar... and it's in a great location! (and no, it's not The Fuck House, although I have to admit The Fuck House fits most of those descriptives - as long as I'm doing a food scene and have stocked it as such. cupcake, pk?)

our little group of 9, that became 27, that became 50 last year, has outgrown annie's - for the nostalgic amongst you.

I also have an idea for a post-luncheon-stroll destination.

holding out on details for now; in fact the locations will be sent to Luncheon Attendees only. which begets the question: who is going to attend?????

you can respond here so that others will get excited to see your smiling eyes in january / your sexy mouth / your scintillating personality... or if you prefer discretion, you can private message me to rsvp. note that this is for the LUNCHEON right now... I need to come up with rough numbers for the restaurant.

rest of the weekend info (MAL, hotel suggestions, Eagle update, other activities) will follow.

xxx,

Dave

Dave, that is so great of you to step up to the plate, so to speak. I suspect that with everything you put your mind and body too, it will be a smashing success. I am hoping to make this year, after having had conflicts the previous three years. I'll know more in a few weeks.

I am replying for a second time, yes. And Dave i have been on a diet so no chocolate cupcakes, but I have a vivid imagination and think smooth wet cucumbers and crispy celery and jumbo carrots might make me want to eat salad. By the way Dave, I saw your Philadelphia ad and was going to contact you about making a side trip to Jersey. Only 1/2 hour away by express train.

After speaking with Legendary Dave, I'm definitely planning to make it to Washington DC for this year's Hooville gathering.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again. It will be great reconnecting with some familiar faces and meeting new ones. Looking forward to seeing my old friend Jawjateck too.

Count me in. :-)

Dave how nice of you to plan the event, I do plan on being in DC that weekend and you can put me down for attending along with 2 guests for the luncheon. I am hoping the new winner of the EOY (whomever that might be) will attend so the crown and scepter can be handed off. It would make for a nice tradition that started last year.

Have an appojntment in 30 minutes, and still need to clean myself up a bit! So very quickly, here is some information and a few links, to help you start to plan your January fun:

Mid Atlantic Leather Conference (MAL) -

Dates: January 16-19, 2015 (Friday through Monday)

Main website: http://www.leatherweekend.com

FAQs: http://www.leatherweekend.com/faqs

MAL Host Hotel: Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.

Don’t follow up with the hotel website to book; all rooms will appear to be sold out. Instead use this link: http://www.leatherweekend.com/hotel

Or, call the hotel at 888-421-1442 to book a room.

The basic room rate is $185 for both one and two people, and a 2-night stay is required.

Nearby Hotel:

I’m partial to Kimpton Hotels, and if it weren’t for the crazy hot scene that’ll be taking place in the Hyatt Regency, I’d choose this boutique hotel over it any day.

HOTEL GEORGE - http://www.hotelgeorge.com

By the way, DC has several other Kimpton Hotels - some of my favorite Kimptons in DC are:

MONACO - http://www.monaco-dc.com

DONOVAN HOUSE - http://www.donovanhousehotel.com

THE DUPONT HOTEL - http://www.doylecollection.com/hotel...t-circle-hotel

PALOMAR - http://www.hotelpalomar-dc.com

If price is a consideration, but you still want a Kimpton accom, consider:

ROUGE - http://www.rougehotel.com

HELIX - http://www.hotelhelix.com

Above hotels within walking distance to the Daddy’s Forum Luncheon are The Dupont Hotel, Rouge, Helix, and Palomar.

Note that all of these hotels would be fine to stay in if you are attending the Daddy’s Forum Luncheon; a taxi from even the farthest hotel above to the restaurant will set you back about $10 max.

For those of you who want bigger chains, consider the hotel propeties at these addresses:

Hilton - 1919 Connecticut Avenue NW

Marriott - 1331 Pennsylvania Ave NW

Let me know if you are stuck with finding the right hotel for you / right price, just hit me up and I’ll try to make some other suggestions.

And DO reply here, email me, or PM me, if you are planning to come to the forum luncheon!

the luncheon replies are coming in. so far we have 7 escorts, and 7 clients.

this is a good time to rsvp if you haven't yet. contact me, or even better, let everyone know you're coming by stating it here. shouting out "I'M COMING!" is perfectly acceptable.

we already have enough for a minyan, and even enough for a rockin' sex party... but woops - I need to keep on focus here... this is a luncheon, not an orgy (or a prayer gathering). LOL
