After seeing that, I would advise people to be cautious about contacting Austin Wolf. I understand being angry about some bogus prospective client sending you on a wild goose chase, and I can even understand making public the phone number used to set up that appointment. But does Austin think that the photo that accompanies that bogus client's profile is actually of the caller? No doubt that guy just lifted the photo from somewhere, and now Austin has publicly associated it with (a) someone engaging in illegal activity in that he is soliciting sex for money and (b) someone who is a liar. That's extremely thoughtless as far as I am concerned.

it appears all those steroids aren't just affecting his receeding hairline

Speaking of receding hairlines....;)

the greatest beauty is

Organic wholeness, the wholeness of life and things,

the divine beauty of the universe.

Love that, not man apart from that,

or else you will share man’s pitiful confusions,

or drown in despair when his days darken."

I don't know if a "shaming" of a bogus client is a good idea, but there are quite a few online resources (ie BlackListedJohn.com, and more) that escorts can tap into or add info to so that this happens less often. There will always be assholes out there who get off on taking someone on a wild goose chase. If I get even a whiff of asshole over the phone I don't bother with any further contact. If it persists, I'll consult some of these online resources. That's why I prefer talking to someone on the phone rather than texting or emailing. Any asshole can text or email, but very very few will have a decent, sober conversation.

I understand from the founder of BlacklistedJohn.com that it's going to be changing into a simplified, factual site about money owed for time: no longer shame-based, or exposing sordid details of what happened. personally, I think that's a good thing.

it's interesting to me when I speak with other 'scorts and find out that many of them tap into that site, to check out new client phone numbers. I have done so too - when red flags have gone up - and it's saved me from going through with some appointments. kind of like a Yelp or Angie's List for workers.

BabyBoomer, you asked why other escorts hadn't really responded to the thread? I think many of them might be afraid of repercussions...

there really is no way to describe the feeling of getting a call for your services, getting excited for what the client seeks, getting prepped and dressed and heading out to see them, and then - - - getting no answer at a hotel room door. I think the TV show "Hung" had an episode where this happened to the protagonist. they tried to convey his feelings - but unfortunately, it wasn't such a good show, the writing was amateur, and the acting merely average. it failed to capture the frustration, loss, anger, horniness, rejection, and flatness, that all get silently mixed into the next twenty minutes, as you exit the hotel lobby and trudge home.

thank god the highs of this work by far outweigh the lows :)

I think we are forgetting something. Until you've actually met and had a session, they aren't your client. And if they are sending you to a wrong location, you dont owe them any respect. They just wasted your time, and in this business, you are getting paid for your time. Austin is one of my closest friends in NY, and one of the most real stand up people I know. Some of the things people go out of their way to say to him and escorts a like is horrible, I see his texts with my own eyes. Be certain of one thing, that person probably won't ever try to pull that stunt again, especially on someone with thousands of twitter followers.

I understand that, and that's why I wrote that I could understand being angry and I can even understand publicly sharing the phone number of the time waster. My issue was Austin's posting of the photo that, for all anyone knows, is just some photo that time waster grabbed on line -- and now that guy's face is associated with something that he may not have had anything to do with.

youre saying things that aren't exclusive to just escorts but anyone who puts themselves out there. if your CHOICE is to do porn and escort, you've got to have the thick skin to let this bullshit roll off your back. you've got to expect a certain amount of ugliness and be prepared for it

this guy might be 'stand up' to you, but his choice in fight back tactic was sloppy and unprofessional. he could have ignored it and moved forward.

I don't know this particular guy, but those sites typically thrive on "mediation" agreements i.e. extortion of clients who wish to have their names taken down. If he's changing things, it may be because of issues with law enforcement.

In any case, it's unclear how he can verify that someone did not paid the fee to which he agreed. As there are no written agreements and payment is in cash, how can that be proven?

I think you're referring to a different site: ExposingJohns.com which is a scam.

http://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/exposingjohns.com

Several members of this community have complained about ExposingJohns. Their modus operandi is contact by text message saying that your personal information is listed on ExposingJohns.com. They'll invite you to pay $$$ in order to remove your information from the site. Usually it happens after contacting a bogus profile on Backpage, or buying/selling goods on Craigslist. The advice given was not to use your 'regular' phone number when contacting unknown people on Backpage, but rather buy a cheap Pay-As-You-Go Phone, or even better - create a free Google Voice number.

From RipOffReport:

Escort shakedown websites are popping up like weeds in the yard. It seems a new site emerges weekly. Sites like exposingjohns.com, flushthejohns.com and escortabuse and they all use the exact data and formats that were copied(scraped) from badboyreport.com. The websites listed in this blog are all about the scam despite what they claim. Interesting note : badboyreport.com was shut down by U.S. Courts due to a $40 million suit for scraping data from cheaterville.com.

All of the aforementioned sites also are engaged in slander, personal defamation and they facilitate extortion by partnering with 3rd party “arbitrators” like removemyname.com or internetreputation.com or paid directly to exposingjohns scammers claiming that for a fee they can remove the slanderous data – they can’t and they will steal you credit card information.

Bottom line: Save your money they are all scam sites and they will be taken down soon enough. My advice is the same – SAVE YOUR MONEY!

UPDATE: removemyname.com / exposingjohns.com / escortabuse.com takes money for removal and then post on another site asking for more.

I'm always tickled by the intensity of the response that escorts have to being taken advantage of, as if that experience is unique to them. Dave's presentation of the horrors of being hired, followed by the prep and ultimately the disappointment of being sent to a bad address would be easy for most clients to understand because they're often dealing with the other side of that equation, whether it be the spotty responsiveness, poor communication, dishonesty or not showing up has been discussed and beat to death here. The nature of the service industry, whether you're an escort or physician is such that a certain percentage of experiences are going to be a problem. Clients have an advantage in the sense that we have access to review sites that can be reassuring, but not foolproof and certainly that precludes sampling new men as Jawjatek has written about so vividly. I've heard only the best of things about Austin Wolfe, but have never met him. What concerns me has less to do with his understandable outrage. Instead, I'm troubled by the message that "This guy hurt me and now I want my people to destroy him". That's different from an alert to ther escorts or even a sharing of the upset - that's dangerous and can't possibly be good for business or our mutual community. I get it, but it's too reactive, and ironically, will work in reverse. On a positive note, Dave is an iconic peach and a breeze to deal with...but for what it's worth, I know exactly what disappointment feel like.

I have noticed that Austin seems to be "available now" a lot recently on Rentboy. I wonder if this has hurt his business.

Certainly a great strategy to control forum reviews. I had a very unprofessional experience with AW a while back. Went to write a review, but luckily checked his twitter feed first. Re the guy in the link, it's at least possible that there was a miscommunication between him and his target. AW's tweeted phone numbers of people who he feels have wronged him a number of times. May or may not be clients, but regardless it has to make you apprehensive regarding any expectation of discretion.

As a newbie to enjoying the company of escorts (he was my second), it's wasn't very reassuring as to the veracity and character of others in the industry.

OTOH, I've since had the pleasure of spending time with two of the guys who posted above, both of whom have pretty much restored my faith. From my perspective as a client, just a matter of more research (I really should have checked his Twitter beforehand instead of relying on his prominence in the industry) and accepting that sometimes you're going to get screwed (figuratively, not literally).

PS -- I'm pretty surprised that some escorts above appear to condone this act. I thought this would have been a one-off.

I think it's gotta be looked at on a case by case basis. what AW did was messy and full of ego. that was clear

now, if a client beat the hell out of an escort or other wise hurt him directly or repeatedly, I'd understand taking it that a public place. blacklisting exists for a reason and saves others a lot of BS.

Absolutely. I think escorts should share information to warn each other off of clients who might cause physical, emotional, or financial harm. There's a huge leap between that and posting someone's personal contact info to rally your 50k-plus social media followers to harrass them because they may have sent you to a wrong hotel or because they "talk down" to you. https://twitter.com/AUSTINWOLFFF/status/471345923092520960

Is there something wrong with him mentally?

wow I'm glad I read this thread. He's on my short list because physically he's so hot....but while I'm out to everyone, this type of indiscretion is beyond proper no matter what the potential client may have done to him. and all this for $350 an hr....! Thanks for shortening my short list!

I have seen Austin Wolf in LA once after trying to hook up with him for a year! It's hard to contact him if he's working because that's his priority! But when he's free then he'll give you all the attention! He bottomed for extra $100 and you could even google that in one of his interviews. But the very first time I was trying to hook up with him, he was the one who didn't show up. Waited for 3 hours and responded after 3 days when he was back in New York! I forgave him and continued to try to hook up with him but it's all worth the wait! If I live in New York, I would be his regular client!
