The guy in question is "hot," but that fee of $400 is far too much for one hour of "hopeful" bliss! I find anything over $150 to be horrendous although I've forked out $200, $250, and upwards to $300 per hour, the latter being only, I think, twice!!!

I've had more than one guy tell me that they purposely price themselves above the going rate for the city they're located in because they have other careers and really don't want to do very many appointments each week, and the higher rate typically results in them getting a more upscale clientele.

 

Interesting point TGuy. I would imagine that Jeremy and Zeb fall into that category. This is discussed all the time, and while most members have a price limit, there is always someone out there willing to pay the price to be with escorts that price themselves higher than the norm. I've met Zeb socially, and he's a big kid, and very pleasant. I could see him asking those prices easy.

For $400 an hour, he most certainly does think he is heaven on earth....

 

I've talked to him and his over nite rate is pretty consistent with porn guys at $1500. BUT that's if you come to him. If not, it's more. $2000, I think.

 

But he was cool with everything else. I still got distracted and moved on.

Dissenting vote here. Session was a disappointment though not a disaster. He was hot and beautiful but the chemistry just was not there. He was aloof and distracted with me, again it was one time and not $400 but I could not justify a second time around at any price, well at some price, but not $400.

Sometimes i buy store brand peanut butter. Sometimes i buy premium brand peanut butter. It usually has little to do with the price unless that price seems disproportionate to the other peanut butters on the shelf. Which one is convenient on the shelf. Which has a larger jar. Which is likelier to taste better or be a bit creamier can turn my head in their direction. It is not always the premium product that suits my taste, no matter the cost. After all, Grand Union peanut butter and Jif peanut butter and the peanut butter made from ergonomically reaped, free range, extra large, naturally sown peanuts, all stick to the roof of the mouth and give the jaw a work out and ultimately leave my body a little less tidy for the eating. When the jar is done, it is done and really not thought about again until the next time i want peanut butter. Mr. Walker has chosen to market himself as does the ergonomic and free range peanut butter. Some claim they can taste the difference and it is worth the cost. Others think that as long as the mouth is sticky and the jaw has had a good work out, it does not have to come in the large container with the pretty label and fancy container. Cost is rarely the sole criterion for the choice in peanut butter and the same is true for the choice in escorts. As long as I am getting value for the cash spent, I am happy. Cajun may be a Jif man, doesn't see the difference that big nuts make, and feels the premium brand is giving the same product and charging more for superfluous fluff. Some like fluffiners, some just plain old peanut butter. So let him have his throat filled with the less trendy brand. I imagine that is exactly the reason most working guys with high rates (to me, anything $400 and above) charge what they do. It's basic economics, the higher the price, the lower the demand (well, except for the baffling proliferation of Louis Vuitton bags, but I digress). It's the age-old question: "what's it worth to ya?" If the working guy feels that he has to make $400/hr to make it worth his while to do a session and if the client of his own free will feels it's worth $400 of his hard-earned money to hire that guy, then Cowabunga! we have two happy people! I can't afford those rates, but hey, more power to both the $400/hr provider and his (hopefully) satisfied clients!!

 

I think the reason some clients or prospective clients raise such a stink over working guys who charge $400+ is the fear that these "expensive" gents will actually get a good number of takers, which will in turn push rates higher in general. The $250/hr guy hears that the $400 guy is beating off clients (with a stick, silly!) and decides he can charge $300/hr, work fewer hours, yet make the same amount per week & year, if not more. And the $200/hr guy decides he can charge $250, and so on. Whether this is really happening or not is irrelevant. The stink-raisers fear it will happen, and that fear motivates their mockery and criticism.

 

There are plenty of people who are overpaid. The Kardashians are the first example that springs to mind. But male escorts, the good ones who are truly committed to making their clients happy, most certainly are not. If I were better off, I'd hire both Jeremy Walker and Jake Andrews. And if the chemistry were right, I'd be a happy repeat customer. Top-tier working girls who provide the Girlfriend Experience make $5,000 for a 5-hour date (you can't hire these girls by the hour) or $10,000 for a 24-hour period, and from what I hear, this class of working girl usually doesn't lack for clients. That in mind, we gay clients are pretty damn lucky.
