Anyway, I hope these GIFs will bring a smile to a few faces, at least. Although they are suggestive, they are from a network TV show (Hannibal). Make of that what you will.

These images ran near the beginning of the third episode of the first season, "Potage." When Will Graham, the FBI consultant and lecturer whom Hugh Dancy plays, spots a female colleague played by Caroline Dhavernas walking toward his house from her car (out of frame here) while he lets his dogs out for the morning, he tells her "I'm compelled to go cover myself." When his colleague replies that she has brothers, he tells her he still wants to put on a robe anyway. :o

 

The acquaintance who reblogged these images wrote "They are seriously the best fitting boxers I have ever seen on any man in my life. Bless the Hannibal wardrobe department." Amen. Also, FWIW, I understand that when Hugh Dancy, who is now in his mid to late 30s, was a student at Oxford, he was voted prettiest boy and prettiest girl.

 

I am seriously pissed that Hannibal, which finished its second season this June, got no love from the Emmys. Not only do the score, cinematography, set design, and sound editing deserve nominations, Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen, a former professional dancer and another hottie who plays Hannibal Lecter, deserve acting noms.

Pushing Daisies

-- but I didn't see why the world needed another Thomas Harris/Hannibal Lecter adaptation.

 

My reaction to the second set of gifs was "Will I seem shallow if I admit that Will’s boxers were part of what made the show for me? This is more erotic than all the nudity on GoT and pretty bold for network TV. Props to Hugh Dancy." I had spotted the images when I watched the episode, but the viewer doesn't get as close-up and tightly framed a shot as these gifs provide.

 

I agree that some of the writing gets a little Byzantine/Grand Guignol. This season especially I felt too many characters sounded like Delphic oracles. Hannibal and to some extent Bedelia du Maurier I can excuse, but not Will, Alana, or Jack. And I was pissed that they killed off Hettienne Parks' character Beverly Katz. Why is it that women and minorities are always the red-shirts? But I love how the show embraces all its fans, including those who openly ship Will and Hannibal (aka Hannigram). Bryan Fuller has even gone so far as to favorite tweets with suggestive fanart like this

Don't tempt me. There's an official NBC Hannibal Tumblr that occasionally posts or reblogs slashy but less suggestive fanart than this. And at Comic-Con, Bryan Fuller said he'd make Preller (the pairing of lab techs Price and Zeller) canon this season. I'm not exactly sure how ...

 

I've seen a photo or gif recently of the scene from S2 in which Hannibal is in imminent danger due to a rope hanging (looks more like a crucifixion though because of the position of his arms), but I don't remember where. Otherwise I might post it. Someday I might post photos of Mads Mikkelsen, who is so much more attractive with the stubble he normally sports but can't as Hannibal, but I don't remember seeing any as suggestive as this that don't involve love scenes with women.

 

I also have access to enough photos of Hugh Dancy at various ages to do a fairly long post of them, but few if any of them are suggestive. All I can say is that I wouldn't kick him out of bed (sorry, Claire!) Also, it's interesting that the Danes and Dancy both currently portray emotionally damaged US government agents -- Claire a bipolar CIA agent and Hugh an FBI consultant with an empathy disorder and probably an anxiety disorder as well.

Mr. Dancy has always been very sexy and attractive to me. I also find him a fine actor. QTR mentioned Bryan Fuller's previous efforts earlier, all of which I enjoyed tremendously. I was upset when Wonder Falls failed in the ratings and was canceled and I was a bit angry when Pushing Daisies was summarily canceled before its time! I, too, found it hard to wrap my mind around the fact that Mr. Fuller, with all his previously fanciful shows, came up with this gritty, somewhat noir series! I will keep watching!

Hey Axiom...Well.... what can I say... it was impossible not to comment on the boxers and the package, unless he added something for the camera, but it certainly does not look that way to me... it seems to flow naturally the way boxers would and should permit... :o Now, if we only had some full frontal nudes to confirm our suspicions... he is quite the guy and very attractive...IMHO
