How do fellow followers of massageM4M figure out which pictured therapists are shown just for you to buy their private pictures & videos? My indicator is that when you call the listed phone number, it goes right to Google voicemail, and you never here back.

Are there other parameters / indicators you use in figuring out how not to waste time with their scheme?

The overabundance of private pics and videos is usually the first indicator for me. Although some legit guys might actually have a lot of pics and vids, the ones I've contacted on M4M indeed never responded, as you mentioned.

Also, said pics will tend to look like they were all 'professionally' photographed at the same time by the same guy, i.e. the settings and lighting will have a sameness to it. Even if there are outfit changes, they'll smack of one photographer/one shoot, making it look like a photo set from a cheap porn mag (in other words, it was shot specifically to be viewed like porn, not necessarily to sell the 'masseur').

I've only encountered one of those ads - http://www.massagem4m.com/ny/new-york-city/15595/ - bought his photoset (most of his pics are off the internet and clearly didn't have the same person in all of them), no contact back from prior, I even sent a message to massagem4m about it to get my credits back - but heard nothing back.

I'm not a big fan of massagem4m because of this, but otherwise it's easy to figure out who's doing that scam.

It is a bit problematic sometimes armadillo. There are no easy answers. Like anything you just have to dive in and start researching. Sometimes it is a dead end. +1 on the over abundance of pics and vids, it can be a sign that you are wasting your time. Asking for advice here is always good. If you are routinely searching M4M, I would encourage you to become a premium member. The cost is only 5.95 per month, but with that you can see all the reviews. Negative reviews can not be seen by regular members, only those with premium membership can view them.

I have a few general rules that I go by, any masseur with 10-15 reviews or more that are a "9" or better, I feel comfortable with. An occasional bad review, that is over 4-5 years old, from a masseur that has a long line of good ones, I will often mentally delete, and move forward anyway. 3 or more bad reviews, regardless of the list of good ones, to me are a warning sign.

When all is said and done, you do eventually develop a sixth sense about all the ads. For the most part, you will be able to weed out the legit ones from those the M4M sets up as bait. Good luck, and don't hesitate to come the the MF and ask for recommendations.

Ouch! This should be a cautionary tale to all of us here. I really never thought of purchasing a photo set, and certainly won't do it now. They are doing classic bait and switch.

that and I think massagem4m actually lets masseurs delete reviews (I've tried posting a couple of not so satisfactory reviews, all of which were written respectfully, and not have them go through or they showed up for a day or two and disappeared later) - Massagem4m is great for it's simple layout, but it's still pretty sketchy depending.

This is actually true, M4M allows all reviews, good or bad to be viewed by the masseur. M4M has explained to me, that the masseur can delete any review, good or satisfactory, if he so desires, as long as it is not blatantly negative. They have further said however, that negative reviews, that can be verified, will post regardless of what the masseur says. The system is far from perfect, but I do like them over Masseurfinders, where you will never see a negative review, because the masseur has complete control over the posting process.

If any of the guys are legitimate they'll be advertising on dozens of sites,

That's simply untrue. I've hired many legitimate escorts and masseurs that only advertise in ONE place. And some of those legitimate masseurs were also one's that had private pictures and videos for sale.

The non-legit picture sellers typically do not respond to emails, text messages or telephone calls. That's about the only sure way of making a judgement; instead of dismissing everyone just because they sell pictures and only advertise in one place.

Oh right sorry just everyone I know, advertises whereever they can, especially sites that list for free and most people in the massage or adult industry have a website these days. Just last month, someone on here wondered if an escort on an American site was for real and I simply looked up his phone number and found six links and posted one of them to say that it looked like he was active and available.

I don't know anyone who just advertises in one place. These days you just simply can't afford to put your eggs in one basket.
