My second weekend in Chicago trying to hire and after my joke of Riley Price experience I found another guy online -- Sal Esposito is what he advertises as. very good looking, great pics. Well, we texted a few times, set up the date and time, and it was a good clear friendly exchange. I was to pick him up at 7:30 am the next morning for an all day appointment. I confirmed with him one last time about food, etc. around 10 pm the night before. When I awoke I found I had a text saying that he was "no longer feeling comfortable with the situation" and was "going to have to back out." No real explanation with around 90 minutes until pick up time. I asked why and he said "he felt I might not be satisfied and wouldn't agree to another appointment." I wished him well (what else could I say?) ... but ... is this typical of Chicago escorts? There seems to be slim pickings to begin with but when you finally do find one they seem to be total flakes.

Sorry for your bad luck there, MrMiniver. I don’t really know what your taste in escorts is but I have always found that Chicago has some excellent men available. 1. Apart from texting, did you talk to him on the phone?

2. Have you considered hiring someone for an hour or a couple of hours before committing for a whole day? In my experience it's easier to arrange an extended meeting with someone you have already met and you have chemistry with.

May I ask what sort of research you did when choosing these two? Riley has a smattering of reports here, not exceedingly positive, and I can find no trace of Sal Esposito anywhere. There are a fair number of well reviewed escorts in Chicago, several of whom have already been mentioned, I'd suggest sticking with them.

Having lived in Chicago for many years and now visiting frequently, I have never encountered a flaky escort. Raul G Manzo, Rob Gregor, Ridge (many, many years ago), and Justin (no longer escorting) are the well-known escorts I have hired. I've hired other, lesser-known escorts who are no longer escorting and they were great, as well. As others have recommended, try a guy out for an hour before hiring for an entire day or overnight.

 

Regarding "slim pickings," there are currently 89 active ads for Chicago on Rentboy, 74 on M4RN (I'm sure some also advertise on Rentboy), and 34 on RentMen (again, some are probably advertising on the other two sites). That is hardly "slim pickings."

Yes, we talked on the phone. I appreciate all the escorts named here but none really float my boat. None have the type of body I usually go for (overly developed or twinky are not my types).

 

And I disagree about the "slim pickings." There may be 89 ads but the same four or five names always come up here (none of whom work for me) and the other 84 plus names are never mentioned. So if I take the advice of those offered that means there are only a handful of reliable, good escorts in Chicago. I'd call that "slim pickings" for a city of Chicago's size. Compared to New York where I could find 30 or 40 escorts who would be interesting.

 

As for length of meeting, I asked Riley for two hours, this Sal for the day as I had something specific in mind. So I can do either. They were my first two experiences in Chicago, both negative, so I wondered if Chicago was just not hospitable for escorts and finding escorts. I have since asked several friends who are escorts (all well reviewed here) and they said they never or rarely schedule time in Chicago because they just don't the type of clientele there that they do in LA or NYC or London or Miami so they don't find the trip worthwhile. I thought that was interesting from the "other perspective."

I , for one, have never had a problem with any of my hires in Chicago and my type is also not overly developed or twinky. It seems very strange that Chicago is also one of the favorite cities for travelling guys.

Not really fair to judge an entire group of guys or a wonderful city because you had 2 bad experiences (according to you)

When people mention places with flakey escorts, it tends to be a long list: Atlanta, LA, DC, and Boston have received a lot of mentions in the past, as well as NYC which because of its size and transience is always going to have some flakes. My guess is that people complain about where they live (DC has few good guys in residence, but then I could say that when I lived in Atlanta) and about places they visit and don't know well. The cities that receive repeated mention are relatively transient. Boston draws lots of students. Atlanta is a magnet for the Southeast. Many of these places have one sort of grifter culture or another in DC we have lobbyists and various political hangers-on, Atlanta is full of salesman types who basically are suckers looking for other suckers, NYC has would be financiers, and the list goes on.

 

Hiring usually involves a leap of faith and for many people is an expensive indulgence. You have to look at it as a bit of a gamble. Even "well reviewed" guys disappoint. It's a bit like investing in expensive theater or concert tickets or perhaps an short trip (in the case of an overnight). All of those things can disappoint, too. Innkeepers can be grifters. Someone else's idea of a great play may be just awful to you. It's helpful to know that Sal is a no-go, but rather than getting caught-up in a slam against Chicago, I'd move on.

I would think that statements that a city lacks credible escorts has to be viewed through the prism that not every guy is going to satisfy a potential client's needs. The client may looking for BB's and even if a city has a listing of 89 guys, maybe only 3 fall into that particular group. He should not have to hire just anyone, no matter how well reviewed. So the client may see the city as not having anyone to connect with even though there seem to be a treasure trove of guys. I am not sure what MrMiniver was looking for.

Putting things into perspective: a "bad experience" is if the escort grabbed your money and stormed the door or aggressed you physically. In your case, you tried to schedule a meeting twice and it didn't work out. I'd turn this into a learning experience.

 

Second, Chicago is not only worthwhile for me as a travelling escort, but I'd say it has been the best city for many years. Just to prove that different things work for different people. The city is definitely worth another try. Hopefully next time you'll see the sunny side of it (with some advance planning and research).

I may have missed what was your specific type you were looking for when in Chicago. Have had a thoroughly rambunctious and wonderful time with Roman, Andrew Justice, and Heath Jordan.
