The only reason I even knew the SB was this weekend was all the press about the commercials. I'm generally oblivious to sportsball.

I'll probably be at the office. I had some processing scheduled for today but the mainframe had indigestion last night so my processing got pushed to tomorrow. At least traffic should be light if everyone is inside watching!

I am going with Denver Broncos to win by 2.5 points, attending SB party at neighbors. Other friends are going to IKEA, they say no one will be there shopping.

Rest of you gents???

I think that is a fairly safe bet....I bet my friend, DB to win, no points involved, it is more fun that way. Our SB party will be at Bo Kamper's on the Intracoastal. They have 150 flat screens, it will be a visual over load..;) Post here if they win...LOL

Ugh!!! Paid my bets off, and came home early. Sometimes, "You gotta know when to hold em, and know when to fold em" ....Can't even imagine what the Bronco's were going through out there, must have been Heart breaking for them. BUT at least for Bruno it was a touchdown. He knocked it out of the park!!! Amazing Half time show...

Aaahhh, now does Manning retire? Not willing to bet on that, but there is already talk of it.

I drove home from a hot playdate with Giovanni Volta (review submitted) and stopped at the South Coast Plaza Macy's home store sale.

I don't really have any interest in football beyond the sexinesss of those dudes in uniform (and out of uniform, lol). Baseball is the only sport I really have an affinity for. But as an opera fan, I was curious about Renee Fleming getting to sing the national anthem, lol. (And all in all, I think she delivered - much better than a rather boring "America The Beautiful" unfortunately phoned in by Queen Latifah a few minutes prior.)

As for the game itself - I had it on, but dozed off, lol (I've had an intense weekend, and my body decided to give in to sleep) - ironically, I woke up only moments after the Seahawks won. So I literally missed the whole game. Eh...no biggie, at least for me. ;-)

In fact, I was joking with the cabbie who drove me to work this morning - he was asking me if I was all set for the Super Bowl. I played with the question. "The what? Oh - you mean that tv show that happens after the opera singer sings the national anthem?" (Or, I suppose I could have said, "oh, you mean the thing that happens between all those overproduced commercials?" lol). We had a fun laugh over it.

I'm just excited that baseball is starting up pretty soon. ;)

Renee Fleming was a couple of times off-key. But nice to hear someone SING instead of the repeated CRAP that most renditions of Our National Anthem create.

I wonder what would have happened had it been Seahawks / Patriots. Or 49er's / Broncos. Or 49er's / Patriots.

We'll never know. Ithink Peyton may be ... retiring soon. The same may be true for Brady.

And the ads with Tebow were really funny!

Is it just me, but doesn't Bruno Mars look like a cross of Michael Jackson and Elvis?

That is too funny, but you are absolutely spot on. I said the exact same thing when he was performing. I thought he looked exactly like MJ, high energy, and I loved his dancing. He rocked it...It was very sexy!! ;)
