The decision is solely Daddy's, reserved for guys who have gone above and beyond in some way. One way to guarantee receiving the seal of approval is to be a participant in the AIDS Life cycle ride held every year. Tony Bishop, Lance Navarro, Stephen Draker, Andrew Dragon and David have participated that I know of. Other than that I believe the criteria are rather nebulous.

But I wonder: can a client earn it if he participates in ALC?

One more is Dave (Rockin Dave) DC. Lee is right. All of these gentlemen have done something over and above the norm for the gay community, for the Forum, for clients and fellow escorts who are in need of emotional support to get thru a tough time. I personally believe this, and these qualities are exemplified in all those named above and any others that we may have not named. Hats off to all of you.

I would love to see one other escort named to this prestigious group because he IS all of the above qualities. NATE BRUNO (SF)!!!!!

in the link that Steven Draker provided, Daddy actually wrote: "[The] Seal of Approval is extremely rare. It requires a type of specific event to happen. In most cases the Escort doesn't even know why they got it."

in my case, I have no idea why I got it.

Like Dave, I do know that Dane Michels also has no idea how he got it (because we've talked about it). The only known way to get it definitely is to ride in the AIDS LifeCycle ride. Other than that, it's a mystery.

I think we should have an LBT Seal of Approval too. Actually, most of the honorees of Daddy are guys that Lee has met and has an ongoing friendship with.

With all due respect, I don't think that participating in AIDS Life Cycle gives you automatically a Daddy's Seal of Approval. Personally, I didn't get any Seal until my fourth participation in the Ride. And as far as I know Victor Racek completed an AIDS Life Cycle a few years back and hasn't received a Seal of Approval.

I was told by Daddy that it did. And I noticed just before you posted that Victor didn't (funny we both thought about Victor at the same time). And I was going to mention it to Daddy. I think Daddy instituted that policy a couple of years ago. Which is probably when you got it. Victor should have it as well. He considers that going above and beyond that call, at least he did tell me that. Unless I completely misunderstood him. Because besides Victor, everyone else who has done the ride in the last couple of years has received the seal of approval.

I've met all except Brandan Steele, Andrew Dragon and Rick in DC. And Victor Racek who should have it. But I have met the others (Dane, Steven, Chris, Romann, Lance, Dave, Tony, Ace and David). So only 9 of 13.
