Today's "Satisfactory" review of Zachary Brown (of a meeting that took place four months ago) includes so many unflattering details that I think I was more put-off by it than I would be by a less detailed review with a "Not Recommended" rating. I ended up wondering if it was really the balanced assessment it purports to be--or a slam disguised as a mere slap? After reading the review, I looked at Zachary's ad and wondered if, in light of the negative things being said about him, he's doing an unintentional disservice to the other escort to whose Rentboy ad Zachary provides a link from his ad (for those interested in a threesome). I don't know Zachary, the other escort or the reviewer--in other words, I've got no horse in this race--but I'm wondering how others reacted to the review and what opinions there might be on the benefit-vs.-harm of "co-advertising."

If the review is true, that is an unsatisfied client for sure, but it's interesting how clients can view an escort so differently. I enjoyed Zach's company during the DC event. At lunch, he was delightful. I think arvaguy and hoover enjoyed being with him too, since we sat at the same table. In my private meeting with Zach, well......he rocks! :-) Btw......I submitted a review, so I'll say no more here.

The reviewer hired a piece of meat for a quick screw job, and didn't like it. I hired a quality young man for fun and company, and would love to see him again.

First I met Zach at the luncheon and then we had a nice conversation back at the hotel, I guess I and the reviewer have differing opinions on what face should look like. I thought he was good looking but disturbing was the comment from the reviewer "nice Jewish boy from the neighborhood" I have no clue what that is suppose to mean. I had a nice conversation with good looking young man who I will probably trying to set up some time to meet. From comments I heard from several other forum posters who hirer was that Zachary's appearance was a big plus to the luncheon and the outings.

Second it is up to Zach to decide how he wishes to respond to the balance of the review. I think if that was the reviewers experience he has the right to spell it out. Since it was a Satisfactory review, Zachary did not have a chance to respond yet. So I will leave that up to him if he so chooses. Being a person who does lots of reviews I know I would be embarrassed if my review was disected here. However the comment above probably not one I think should be repeated.

Finally as to linking to another gentleman, Killian. Killian had his own satisfactory review last week which was not well received. I personally love it when a gentleman mentions he has a third and maybe even a fourth they work with since I love 3- and 4-ways. I see no issue just because a "Satusfactory review was issued that there would be any harm to Killian's business.

Satisfactory just means everything was not perfect. As to the balance of the review that is for Zachary to determine, me no effect and plan on pursuing an engagement with Mr. Brown and hopefully with Killian.

it's not even a back handed compliment review. it's just plain ugly sounding at points.

this fella hired him as a piece of meat, a trophy. that's clear. the review says more about the reviewer than the escort

glad I'm not that kind of client. reviews like this make me sad, for both guys

I've always wanted to meet up with Zach but never had the privilege to do so. I've sent multiple emails and perhaps they got stuck in junk mail. Either that, or i was not his "type". I guess i could have followed up by calling but i didn't so i'll never know...

Reviewer

Handle: quinlopian (First Review)

You: Late 40s GWM, in-shape professional top who has hired plenty of escorts, and likes to give accurate and balanced reviews

This guy is trying to convince himself that he wrote an "accurate and balanced" review?

Not an exemplary way how to treat an escort. He clearly has a problem with Zachary and with hiring an escort in general.

I'm glad that the vast majority of clients are not like "quinlopian".

Agreed too! Reading through the review I thought to myself I'm glad I haven't been hired by this guy. The clincher for me was the remark about lip balm. Seriously? So I guess I'd better cancel my appointment since I have an ingrown hair!

The remark about his face baffled me too. Having met Zach in DC I found him extremely handsome. Maybe Zach just wasn't his type but the description in the review just doesn't compute. And if the guy wanted him to show up in dressy casual clothes, maybe he should have said so. It could have just as easily gone the other way, with the guy wanting him to show up casual.

Right? I had the exact same reaction when reading it this morning. This is why escorts and clients need to take advantage of events like the Forum luncheon and PS. Enough people attended DC who can easily attest that Zach is hardly "average."

Reading this review, I kept checking back to be certain the reviewer had pegged the encounter as "satisfactory." There are so many negative comments I have to wonder what the reviewer's criteria are for a satisfactory encounter. That makes me even more curious --- dare I say "suspicious"? -- about the reviewer's intentions. Did he really want to recommend Zach and, by extension, his frequent partner? I can't say, because I can't speak for the reviewer's intentions -- at least I can't do so on paper and in a public forum. I'll draw my own conclusions and keep them to myself about why this review was filed.

Hey Guys, I'd really like to thank those of you who've said kind words in my defense in light of today's review. It means a lot. Needless to say I was really baffled, disappointed, and, yes, hurt by the review published today. I'm preparing a response, but I hardly know where to begin. :(

Talk to your friend Killian about how to handle it. He did it very well last week.

There is so much wrong with this review. It's the guy's first review and yet he says he "likes to give accurate and balanced reviews". On his first review, how has he given other accurate and balanced reviews?

As others have commented here, this guy's comments are no where near anything that any of us saw at the luncheon. The reaction to that is universal. Because if Zach is indeed average, the rest of us are complete and total dogs.

The terminology was so clinical. "Average size cock, with some pubic hair (you can see he trims) which was flaccid on presentation.". What, did he serve it on a platter? And the pictures and descriptions from all reviews show it isn't "average" size. Sort of like Killian's thin 5" dick. Then you get "Zach definitely isn't a virgin bottom, but his hole has a good tautness". Tautness? "While Zach's buttocks are mostly smooth." Buttocks? On and on this goes.

I'm sorry but to me, I smell a hatchet job. When you take it with the "satisfactory" review that his friend Killian got last week (when was the last time we got two similar "satisfactory" reviews like this within a week for guys who knew each other?), something just seems very fishy to me.

I just find it very odd is the fact that Zach and Killian, two guys that have worked together and know each other, both had reviews that damned them with feint praise within a week of each other. I'm just not buying it. I'd love to have Zach respond. But I just am not buying this review in the least bit.

EXACTLY! I tried to write the original post in a "low key" sort of way (after waiting a while for someone else to raise a red flag) but, in addition to the weirdly clinical writing style, the pretense of being satisfied with someone the reviewer actually seemed intent on embarrassing (I mean--seriously--he had to mention fecal matter on his condom!?), it's just too INSANELY COINCIDENTAL that Zachary and Killian, who apparently have a friendship with one another, are both victimized by oddball reviews within days of one another.

The only other thing I can say is that it's very nice that so many prominent forum members had recently met Zachary and were happy to speak up for him ... and also very impressive that both Zachary and Killian conduct themselves as they do in stressful circumstances. Bravo, Gentlemen!

I wasn't at the forum lunch, but I did meet Zach when he was in Dallas a few weeks ago. I submitted my review a while back, so it should be in the queue. Although my review was fairly concise (it makes today's look like a novel), I don't think it will require a response . . .

One of the things that doesn't ring true for me about the review was the refusal to go to the bar and have conversation. Zach requested we do that for the time I hired him. Not only that but he met me on his own time and paid for the drink we had while we talked. I also had no trouble getting a face pic for him. My time with Zach was quite pleasant.

Zachary has been on my to hire list for a while now. We could not make our plans work out this past August as he was in California when I visited NYC.

Fortunately, the DC forum event allowed us to meet in person. As noted our table included Jawjatech and Hoover42. I found Zach to be a VERY HANDSOME young man with a charm and grace which adds to his attraction. Btw, Killian sat at the table next to ours.

I have to agree with LBT regarding this review. I'm calling "bullshit" on this and the Killian review. Something is not right with these reviews and I'd go so far as to state the same individual is behind both reviews.

I eagerly await Jawjatech's review as we all know he is a source to be trusted when it comes to hiring.

This actually is a strange situation. This review of Zach and the "positive" review of Killiam both seem like passive - aggressive attempts to sabotage escorts. It isn't much of a stretch to realize that if you write a review that claims to be positive but says some pretty horrible things the escort won't get a chance to respond until the review is posted and the damage is done. But at the same time you don't want to discourage honest, negative reviews since even the very best escort may not be right or click with everyone. In the case of these two reviews the person(s) writing them was so over the top that no real damage was done, but if they had been a bit more careful with their deception the outcome could have been very different. I wish I had an answer on how to prevent this type of thing but I don't; I'm just glad that someone with a lot of experience and skill at this (Daddy) gets to figure this out.

I agree. I started seeing an escort from New Jersey in 1999. About a year later, I discovered this site and read his reviews. While none of his reviews called for a response, some negative things were mentioned, all relatively minor. By then, I had noticed the same issues, and still continued to hire him because the issues were not important to me. So I would go further than newtothis, and write that it may discourage people from mentioning ANY problems. I might actually be glad that some people who write reviews do not read the forum.

I don't know if it's possible to include a thread link in your response but maybe:

- Submit your response

- Include a link to this thread

(Probably should check with Daddy to see if that would work and the link would stay alive)
