So, the agency is a scam, his ads are fake and the pics are stolen. Other than that, are there any red flags? I’ll bet he’s really hot.

“The cure for an argument is to post meaningless drivel ad nauseum, not a better argument” quote from a sexually confused individual who’d prefer to spend his time on a gay men’s escort website rather than with his girlfriend (or even his girl friend)

Yeah, and to add fuel to the fire, the original model of the photos states he's based in New York. The cock pics at the bottom belong to gay porn star Ben Driver (who is uncut, unlike "Kaleb") and rentboy Lucas B in New York (or two other Tumblr hotties depending on where you let Google lead you). Meanwhile, the sex scene at the very bottom is from a Corbin Fisher movie.

I googled his phone.number and he has ads up on numerous escort sites. One of them.being backpage. On the backpage ads, his.pics are not only of someone different than in his rentboy add, but the backpage pics are of a black man! Lol. I wonder if these guys think were actually that stupid.

"We" are stupid if "we" refers to "gay men" in general who tend to think with their "little head" and zipper. There are very few of us who read this site to become smarter consumers of escorts. We on this site are a very small part of the population that hires these men. For the bulk of the gay population, these ads are successful because the bulk of the gay population is stupid. Most do not even know of the existence of this site; over the years, I have even found many escorts who did not know of this site. The fact that phony ads appear so often is proof of the lack of knowledge of this site; otherwise the ads which cost money would be dropped from lack of results.

Thank you to all here who have saved me from these phony ads AND who have alerted me to many real ones that I ended up hiring and had a great time.

I would say if gay men who are interested in hiring and know of this site and don't use it, then they are pretty stupid. If they aren't aware of this site, then I don't really think you can blame them. I mean I came across this site years ago by accident probably not long after it launched. I had a broken leg at the time. The doctor wanted me to keep it elevated 23 out of 24 hours a day. I was at my desktop computer during one of my leg down breaks. And somehow found this site through a search engine.

I'm still not sure if Wanderman is totally a scam. Two years ago when they 1st started advertising and had a link to their site, I emailed them about one of the escorts they were advertising on Rentboy. Initially te ad had said the escort was versatile. I contacted them, and they told me the escort wasnt versatile. I looked back at the ad, and sure enough it now said top. I emailed and asked them why it had changed. They said it was up to the escort what was listed. Now if it was a scam at the time, why wouldn't they haver told me the escort was actually versatile and tried to get me to send them money to arrange a meeting?

Of course even if they weren't a scam then, they could be now.

The thing is though, I don't think one has to know about this site to scope out the fakes. When someone is hiring an escort (or thinking about hiring one) there are many things that should pop out that screams fake. Pics in the add looking different, refusal to send a face pic, no phone number, etc. These are all red flags that anyone who is reasonably intelligent should pick up on, regardless of whether they have ever heard of this site. A quick google of the phone number will tell you a lot as well.

This site taught me about Google Image Search. I don't think I would have known about it otherwise.

Same here. And the escorts are getting craftier, picking out fake pics from posted Tumblr selfies instead of the Rick Day shots many of them preferred. I consider myself fairly good at observing the human form AND spotting Photoshopping when it comes to comparing photos. But sometimes that professional judgement gets clouded when I see hot pics and really want them to really be on offer. It's taken the opinion of a poster or two on occasion, to remind me that a new profile might fit a serial faker's MO when I'm not thinking with my head!

It's fine to have fun ogling and fantasizing about all of these guys' ads, fake and not, but I still maintain that to have about as reliably fun times as you can have (sometimes not and thru no fault of anyone) You should stick to Daddy's (or, if there is another), check the reviews and forum, THEN and ONLY THEN let your little head rule! You have narrowed the pool (but, for God's sake it has something for everyone) from which to fish but I've NEVER had other than a great time when following those rules. It was only at the beginning of hiring, when I did not know about Daddy's, that I had misfires.

Always maximize your potential to have fun, minimize your potential for disappointments!
