"Free" telephone numbers

I have tried to locate some old friends to talk with but a search for sites that promote "free white pages" will display the name and

address of the person, but to get the phone number you have to pay, usually around 95 cents. Do you know of any sites that will

truly give you a free phone number?

411.com just showed me my phone number.

That did not work for me.....it did not show me my phone number but would have if I joined another site.

Also tried if for a friends name and it did the same thing.
