Cancelling on an escort? What's the most common or unusual excuse you said/or heard?

 

I know a local escort and lately he had 2 guys cancelling for food poisoning, before the most common excuse was a death in the family or getting a cold.

When I'd had to cancel an appointment, I've done it in such a timely manner which enables an escort to fill my space if he deems it necessary. The main reason for cancellation has been for "an emergency" or I will have to be out-of-town. It's worked and I've rebooked at another time and have had stellar playtimes with these particular men!

 

Also, if I feel a cold coming on, and it does arrive, I cancel because I do not want to get anyone ill. I like lots of deep and very wet kissing; thus I don't want to share my mouth with a guy when I am ill with cold or cold symptoms!

When I have to cancel an appointment I do this thing I call "telling the truth." If I have a cold, I tell him I have a cold. When my mother died, I told him my mother died. When I had a creepy feeling after talking to the guy, I told him I changed my mind because I didn't think the chemistry was right. The truth is so much easier to remember.

The primary reason I've had to cancel is because something urgent came up at work (sometimes real and sometimes just perceived by my boss to be a crisis). There've been a couple of times that I've had to cancel because I wasn't feeling well and once my flight was canceled.

The only time i've cancelled an appointment with an escort was when I was hospitalized this past May. Once I knew I was not going to be able to fly half way across the continent to make the appointment I contacted the escort to let him know I was going to have to cancel, and why. I was able to cancel about 72 hours ahead of the appointment.

 

By contrast, I've had one well-reviewed escort no-show on me in 2013; meanwhile, a different escort canceled 5 appointments this year, alone. Each time the escort cancelled he did me the courtesy of contacting me at least few hours in advance of our appointments -- though, always, on the same day. Unfortunately, given that I had already flown to his area in order to see him each time it was too late to cancel flights or hotel arrangements. On each occasion the escort had good reasons for canceling (health concerns, travel disruptions, scheduling problems, etc.). Nevertheless, each instance proved to be both disappointing and a waste of time and money.

Cancelling on an escort? I don't believe I have ever done that. The only time an escort has ever cancelled on me was due to illness.

Only time I cancelled was when I had my gall bladder out. Cancelled Tues, it was removed Wed. appt was for Sat. He should have had enough time to book somebody else. I have had 4 no shows- no warning, no excuse, he just didn't show up. And no reply to subsequent emails asking for explanation. Might add all in NYC. One late arrival, about 30 hours late, for a long weekend; real family crisis by the escort, and it was legit

One time several years ago I had cancelled because was still learning about this

website and the joys and pitfalls of the "scene."

 

Impulsively I had set up an appointment with what looked like a gorgeous looking guy from "Rentboy."

Then I started seeing reminders on "best not to do this" without first doing at least a

reverse photo check. This revealed a fake photo.

 

I texted the escort and told him why. He laughed ("ha ha" via text). He said

"Welcome to the world of male prostitution. Everyone does this."

 

He then sent me via text what he said was his real face photo. I texted back

saying if he was not truthful the first time, how could I believe him the second time?

So I canceled the appointment and apologized for my own lack of foresight.

 

I then wrote to Rentboy. Surprisingly they took down his profile very quickly.
