Saran wrap?

One post here gave a forward to a porn site which was quite good. I watched two video previews of about 5 minutes each and in each of them, there was saran wrap around one of the men. One muscular bottom had saran wrap around his thighs and and well built top in the other video had saran wrap around his forearm. I have no idea why they were doing this. Anyone out there with definitive information?

I seem to remember that a saran wrap material as well as latex or rubber had been (maybe still is) used in exercise/weight loss as a quick means of losing weight by forcing the body to sweat profusely.

As Juan mentioned, it has become a part of BDSM called mummification. Even though I have an open mind regarding BDSM, mummification and submersion scare the s_ _ t out of me.
