We will be spending an afternoon and overnight in San Juan next month (a Saturday) before our cruise. Would love to enjoy a festive club, preferably with some dancers. Haven't found much. Any must see places?

For the afternoon go to the Atlantic Beach Bar at the Atlantic Beach Hotel. If you want to divert, there is another bar just across Calle Vendig that you can drop in as well (they are both gay/mixed and very relaxed) Around the corner on Av. Condado 6 (you can just walk east one block on the beach) is Splash Lounge (formerly siempre formerly formerly the downstairs bar)

 

For night life and strippers probably SX

If you feel like going "upscale" try Oceano on Calle Vendig (just opposite the Atlantic Beach Hotel). It is on the beach, beautiful and relaxed in the afternoon and the really beautiful people come out in the evening. You can really dress up for this place and you will fit in. The older you are, the better you should dress. It is gay, bi, mixed, straight and very fashionable (mostly locals, who speak better English than I do).
