If you go to the web address posted, you will see that the Rentboy.com advertisement claims that the escort is a visiting "Brazilian" but if you go to this site -

you will see that the photos belong to an advertising ITALIAN escort whose photos are widely found on the web. Even these photos are suspect when you read the accompanying statements in alternative web address.

 

Another obvious error in the Rentboy.com advertisement is that the "model" speaks only English but the advertisement says he is Brazilian - how dumb! Why is Italian and Portuguese not used in the ad? Portuguese is the language of Brazil.

 

When you go to the site I referenced above, you need to click on the portion that says you are over 18 to access the photos shown at the site.

 

After that, you will see many photos. Some of the photos are the exact same photos used by the scam artist who set up the advertisement on Rentboy.com.

 

Daddy's site is great in uncovering fake ads. What if a client called and made an appointment based on the false data in the ad? Not a pretty picture, by any means.

What I meant is that the photos you will see on the alternative site show that some of the photos were taken over a period of time. In some photos, the model looks young while in other photos, the model looks well into his middle to late thirties, not 28 as claimed in the rentboy.com advertisement.

 

In short, if you compare the Rentboy ad to the alternate site I provided, you will see that the photos are the same person in both ads but the information regarding the model contradict.

I don't see a rule in Rentboy saying that you have to list all languages you speak. "Italian" on the same level as "Brazilian" is a selling point. One can very have Brazilian origins and identify himself as Italian and vice versa.

So Rentboy has him in Boston and Rentmen has him in Athens. I wonder which place he is really at currently? I have considered hiring him in London before (he spends a lot of time there). He always has an RB ad up when he is there but I don't ever recall his ad stating "Sometimes Safe" before....his current RB ad states just that. That's always a deal breaker for me and I normally would remember that. For me there is still some mystery over this Boston ad. It's either fake, or he has started to bareback, or Gianluigi is very disorganized.

I have always found your previous posts to this forum well thought out and genuine. In your response to this situation, I believe you must have been tired or were not thinking.

 

A bogus ad could include a bogus telephone number for prospective clients (marks). A bogus ad could also direct the mark (client) to a legitimate web address. However, if a mark were to call the bogus number listed in a bogus ad (despite a citation for a valid website for the escort) how does a client/mark know from the ad that the client is reaching the real supposed escort?

 

Most of us know that there are many bogus ads with fake photos. After a client makes an appointment with whoever answers a fake/bogus telephone number, what prevents the scam artist from coming to the clients address after the appointment is made? Who knows what problems a client could have in these circumstances?

 

You offered a valid reason why the telephone number in the rentboy ad could vary from the telephone number on the real escort's site. However, your explanation of the advertisement saying that a Brazilian is visiting while the escort's real site clearly states he is Italian, just does not connect.

 

My conclusion is that the ad is misleading - and most likely, the ad is bogus.

Steven, no offense but he has one had at Rentboy for being IN BOSTON right now, seeking clients. He has another ad on Rentmen last checked 6 hours ago having him in ATHENS, GREECE.

 

You may know where he is exactly, but if so, maybe gently tell him that clients do not believe an escort bi-locates like this so he may "lose business" when guys are discussed this way here. I personally do know him from Italy and have known of his personal web site for some time, and so I assumed that this is someone taking advantage of a European-based escort and lifting his profile for personal use.

 

Clients here bring up such ads to see if others see apparent red flags, and for me whoever is running the Rentboy ad for Boston has made some tactical errors. If this is Gianluigi, he might easily go to Rentmen and switch his city (a very easy thing to do) or clarify his Rentboy ad. As it stands here, if a client sees this discussion he might decide to move on to someone else.

 

I will admit at least the actually fee per hour is almost exact (of course one is in dollars, the other in euros, but this guy is way on the high end, whoever is advertising in Boston).

By the way, that same phone number brings up another fake advertisement for a "Sexy Brazilian Model" where the photos displayed are of a model/photographer named Justin Clynes. http://hotads.us/new-york/male-escorts/full

 

Scroll down to about the fifth or sixth "escort" where you will find the fake Sexy Brazilian Model photo ad. On that same web page are several other fake ads with other fake photos.

 

I am really pleased that we have this vetting process on this forum for exposing scam artists. Logic tells me that these scam artists must succeed and snag some innocent clients from the countless fake ads. After all, the rentmen and some other sites charge for ads.

 

Goodness only knows what happens to a client that falls prey to one of these liars that place fake ads solely to scam gay clients.

It seems we all pretty much agree that the Boston ad must be fake. For me, the most disappointing thing about this type of thing is that RB allows these sorts of ads to pass thru. They really need a more robust vetting process for ads. A number of us spotted this as being a fake ad very quickly. Surely someone working at RB could do the same.

A little side note ..Brazil has quite a few "Working Guys" with at least half Italian or German Heritage. Which is a hellava combo from the ones I have met. LUIGI sure as Hell looks Italiano to me! :p
