I can't take it anymore. I'm just tired of talking about the same thing over and over

Gotta love these Joey meltdown threads. There's usually 1-2 per year. Good entertainment if nothing else.

It would save every one a lot of time, if Joey just posted a link to one or more of the prior rants instead of posting a new one, he has a lot from which to choose.

In all his years here, has anybody here ever met Joey? Has anyone ever written a review of Joey? I can't seem to find any reviews to see what his clients have to say. Am I mistaken?
Dood! Read the thread and the "Why are Ohio and Indiana callers so full of shit?" He attended the Palm Springs get-together and even got called out on the Ohio rant by an Ohioan he met in Palm Springs!

And yes, he's reviewed under Bryant at daddysreviews.com

Should we then post links to our compassionate replies and judgmental rants back at him, or do we get to start all over again.

No, my thinking is more along the lines of: Joey post the link to the previous rant. Everyone follows the link and reads through the previous thread. It's all been said before, so it's over and done.

Alternatively, when Joey posts a new rant, whoever responds to the thread first post a link to one of the prior rants. Members read through the responses and saves them having to type it all over again.

Because regardless of how many times we go through this Joey is never going to realize that most of his problems stem from the fact that he needs a "Big Ol' Attitude Adjustment." He's never going to accept the fact that he's ill suited to be an escort (and probably any other profession in which things don't go his way 100% of the time) so he's always going to bitch. No matter where he lives; he always going to bitch about it. No matter where he travels, he always going to bitch about it. If clients call, he's going to bitch about it because they didn't call him the right way. If clients don't call, he's going to bitch about why they don't call. As you said earlier, bitches are gonna bitch.

Or....people could just not respond, rather than repeat previous complaints. But everyone is entitled to vent.

This is my first comment in the thread.

I worked in a factory summers while attending college, working with precision tools in an assembly line. You could not lose concentration for a second, because the danger of losing a finger or two was a constant. I only worked there for three summers, many others were employed at the factory for thirty-forty years. It was a horrible experience for me. And more than forty-five years later, I still remember many details about the three summers. I realized other people have mention the same kinds of experiences, but not factory work. Many people hate their jobs, but escort work is easy money compared to working in a factory.

I had some sympathy for Joey until he came back to post more of his problems lately, and respond in full to critics.

My sympathy was both foolish and wasted.

I was just going to post that I was born in the self-proclaimed pizza capital of the USA... if not the world.

However, when I offered some constructive criticism to Joey early on in this thread, I offered no sympathy. That was based on my current job situation. I had completely forgotten about (probably repressed) my summer job in a factory. For me it was just weeks... For others it was their entire life. Those are the individuals to whom our sympathy might need to be directed.

At any rate, I indeed do hail from the pizza capital... ma nel capitale e' chiamata "apizza". We talk funny in them parts!!! :)

Hey WG. Just looked up "pizza capital of the world" and now I'm starving. Found a place called Revello's (previously Pelosi's) that ships pizza--$15 per tray with a 3 minimum tray order. Planning on having some people over in a couple of weeks and this is what I'm gonna serve. I'll make the antipasto myself. Not your usual Irishman's menu but I can hardly wait.

I don't know what has gotten into people these last couple months or so, but I'm just like enough is enough.

People keep booking these appointments, as if they don't know basic courtesy and common sense. I have put up a website to try and make things more simplified, and people still doing the same thing.

Already I have lost 4 appointments. That's too much resources to be giving up when you are putting out money to make these things happen. Paying for these stupid ads all the time, this, that and the 3rd, hotels and shit.

It's like, what does it take for people to do things the right way? For example, a person sends an email and text this morning. OK great, but he wants to book that morning. OK, God forbid he just seen the ad that morning...but I doubt it. I'm sure most of our clients know when they have a meeting for their job in the morning, what's the issue with being able to have the same sort of notice for me? I missed the meeting, which equates to a delayed payment. And I could have taken it had I been given more notice. But I sat in my hotel all day yesterday without a clue in the world. So what did I do? I made other plans.

People just want to let me know stuff at the last minute, and I can't get anything done that way. And then not only that, but let me know at the last minute when they only have a small window of time to work with. It's like come on. Treat me with a little respect and courtesy. Some people make things more challenging than they really need to be, by not doing things properly. If someone is coming in from out of town, THINK. Think about the time they need to get places, think about how maybe they need to know shit ahead of time, etc. In the past, I had an issue because people kept contacting me the day I arrive, but the last minute expecting me to be there by a certain time...when they didn't even bother contacting me ahead of time to find out what time I would actually arrive and try to come to some sort of compromise.

And then, let's talk about rates because I don't even know anymore. I have to listen all day long to how my rates are too much, well what the heck am I supposed to do? Everyone else is charging $200. So I'm just going to drop it well below everyone else? I mean, don't get me wrong I'm not trying to call clients cheap or say I don't appreciate what they give me, but it's like why do I have to be made to feel like I'm overpriced and can't get the rate I need? I spend more than $200 to see THEM. And you tell me they can't even spend that amount to see me? Come on. I'm probably broker than most every client who hires me, but I have to lower my rates when I'm putting out more than that.

Then of course you have the cancellations and no shows...they just pour in. Already it's been 3. It's like come on. You've been asking me to come here for weeks and months, and then you flake out on me. Great. Why bother.

I kind of feel like a retirement is looming in the near future, I just have to get my finances in order and pull out some backup plans. If anything, I may only see my favorite regulars. If anyone wants to fight and argue and call me names, its whatever. But in order for me to shutup, either things need to change or I just need to leave. And I think its time for me to take action, because obviously things don't seem to be changing.

Guest Starbuck
Just an FYI- I came across an ad for Joey today on M4RN that was inactive even though it listed a current travel city for later this month. I didn't look on Rentboy or Rentmen though.

Whatever the status of Joey's ads, I think he may have abandoned the forum ... didn't he used to have a picture of himself as his avatar? ... and didn't all his posts end with a listing of his ads and the link to his new website? Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I think all those things were here and now they're gone.

No more RB ad either (at least that I could find). Hopefully Joey is re-evaluating his victim attitude that he always seems to sport. I suspect if he can adopt a more positive outlook on life and people (and quit the 'poor poor pitiful me' crap), he can be successful in a future career. I wish Joey the best for the future and hope he returns to the forum some day.
