South Florida 3rd Weekend of October - Boardwalk, Swinging Richards

Let me first say that I've been a fan of the Boardwalk for a long time. The last few visits I've had to S. Florida, Boardwalk was a disappointment in terms of dancers but I still have fun with my friends and the occasional fun patron I might engage. Of course, I've always enjoyed my bartenders. I'm from LA so I have plenty to compare to - but I like vacation ******* with the local muscle!

 

This visit was incredibly different from the recent past at Boardwalk. I went on Friday night and I was really impressed with the amount of quality muscle at the club. Danny - who rose to fame at Twist was by far my muscleman standout. Hernan from Argentina and Paris from Italy were my other Latin-esque interests. New (for me!) was George - an incredible Russian who won his class this year at the IFBB Arnold Amateur. He had some great muscle mass! This was by far the best visit I've had to Boardwalk in the last 5 years.

 

Admittedly, I went back on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was more crowded, different dancers, similar amount of patrons as Friday. Other dancers weren't as big but still some very good "fitness" muscle types to keep me occupied. We did go later in the evening so that was a huge difference in terms of energy in the club and amongst the entertainers!

 

Went again on Sunday and I can sum it up in one word - Horrible. The only reason I gave anyone any money was because I thought Will, pretty tall yet lean-muscle dancer with great nips deserved some cash on Friday but I was so busy with the others that I didn't make time to give him any. I rectified that on Sunday. But poor Will was trashed and soppy drunk dancers aren't my thing.

 

On Saturday I went, for the first time, to Swinging Richards. I was absolutely impressed with the consistent quality of talent that was there. I didn't see one dancer that I thought was braver then his body should allow him to be. Every dancer had some redeeming stripper quality. Their twinks were still lean and muscly. The nerdiest guy dancing had an incredible set of abs. But there were some incredible diamonds at Swinging Richards. In particular there were 3 dancers (with maybe another 3 that easily took second place) that I would have preferred to have just rented the VIP room for the night with and just have them rotate through. I won't name names since some of them asked me not to post their names publicly. All I can say is that my friend and I enjoyed our various visits in the VIP room with our chosen muscle flesh! I see why so many are enamored with the quality talent at Swinging Richards!

 

I have to be honest though, in terms of actual club set - up, I prefer the smaller Boardwalk just because it forces more interaction between dancers and patrons. Their addition to have private lap dance areas is an incredible improvement! While the private areas of Swinging Richards are much nicer and the club is quite beautiful, I just didn't like how there's so much room and folks just sit around rather than stand and walk around as they do at Boardwalk. And before any catty member makes a comment about the age of the patrons at SR and their need to have a chair to sit in, I will respond that it was at Boardwalk that a not-so-spring chicken came in with the help of a walker and an attendant. So SR is prettier in talent and in fixtures but, in the end, overall, I have to say I preferred my time at Boardwalk! If only I hadn't fallen in love with my new dancer crush at Swinging Richards! (luckily for me, he chose [read$$$] to come to Boardwalk and hangout with me on Sunday!)

 

Boys, whether it's Boardwalk or Swinging Richards, there's still plenty of muscle in South Florida! Go enjoy yourselves and bring your stacks of paper! The boys still need to pay for all that food and all those supplements to be big and beautiful!

Spot on in your observations msclwrspr. Months ago BW got a new manager and I noticed things improved immediately. . They may not have the quality that SR has, but certainly more than enough to go around. There recently has not been a shortage of nice young muscle boys. I think that the new lap dance rooms helped, since they are more private. For all the excitement of SR coming to Pompano, I think in the end that I too like the smaller square footage of the Boardwalk, and there are some sweet kids there. And it is closer to the house, and closer is always good...

 

For me, SR on the other hand is a little concerning. I want it to survive since it is my 'backyard' but I have been there almost every Saturday except last week and it seems slower. Granted it is a larger space, so customers are more spread out. I asked the manager, and he assured me that the customer count was the same, but liquor sales were up 30%...which is significant for any bar, but my favorite dancer Alex, beautiful blond muscle boy, who dances in Dallas, came a couple of weeks ago, and wanted to stay through the winter, but said that that the tips in Florida were dismal compared to Texas. He danced Friday and Saturday, Texted me on Sunday and said he was going back to Dallas. We hung out on Monday and he left. Hope that is not a trend.

There are no private rooms at the Boardwalk, only private lap dance rooms (three total) but it is enough. It is 20 dollars per song for the dancers, and if you take the right dancer back, for many of them anything goes, literally. You do have to keep track of the songs, otherwise they will often say that it was more. I generally negotiate a flat rate and let them know specifically upfront what I want. I don't like trying to keep track of the songs.

 

Swinging Richards is more pricey. For the lap dance rooms it is 25 per song, with 20 going to the dancer and 5 going to the house. The rooms aren't as dark and they do have cameras in the room. The dancer has to keep his underwear on. Some dancers will adhere to that policy, but many will go further, especially if you have been tipping out front. I have been told that the cameras are not monitored consistently.

 

The VIP rooms at Swinging Richards are more dimly lit, no cameras, and the dancers can be nude. It can get pricey. 140 for 15mins. 40 to the house, and 100 to the dancer. I tip on top of that, but many clients don't, so no need to feel obligated. The problem with SR is that, twice back to the VIP rooms, and you could have hired an escort. I will generally pick out a dancer that appeals to me and hire him for a private at the hotel or off site.

 

The only flexibility in rates is negotiating time off site. All rates inside the club remain the same, unless you negotiate a flat rate like I do going back into the lap dance rooms at The Boardwalk

 

Unfortunately you will be coming the 3 slowest days of the week...Still lots to see, just not as busy.

What a coincidence….I was in Ft. Lauderdale the same weekend (Thurs., Fri. & Sat.). Was at Boardwalk all three nights, AND I was at Swinging Richards Sat. night! My first time at SR, was very impressed with the place. I couldn’t get over it, from the front of the building all the way inside it was by far the most beautiful strip club I’ve ever experienced. It was great seeing so many muscular men totally nude and mostly hard on stage, flirting with customers to encourage tips. (Although they were cute as hell, I couldn’t decide if the twins performing together were just HOT or a little creepy. I ended up tipping them both at the end of their set, so I guess I’ll go with HOT.) I actually knew a couple of the dancers at SR, from other clubs so they each sat & chatted for a while. I didn’t pay for any dances at SR, though, because I wasn’t sure what I’d actually get for my money.

 

I left around 12:30 & went to Johnny’s which was dead, maybe five customers and a handful of dancers. Had one drink because it was free with my cover, then left for Boardwalk.

 

Like I said, I was at BW all three nights. Reconnected with some dancers I knew from before and met some new guys. The privacy in the lap dance room was a HUGE improvement for me. Two dancers I lusted over from previous visits who had only given so-so lap dances back then, provided MUCH more entertainment this time. Every lap dance I “participated” in this time was a real treat, each guy going above & beyond my expectations.

 

All in all, this was one of my best weekends in Ft. Lauderdale. I came home happy, refreshed, & ready to get back to work so I could earn money for my next trip!

Agreed...Just got back from the BW. It was absolutely packed. The lap dance room was always going, and the energy in the room and among the dancers was at an all time high.
