I am sorry to inform you all that October will be my last month of escorting until further notice.

There are many reasons why I have decided to do so, but the main reason being I have recently received a diagnosis of Type II Diabetes; as it is hereditary in my family (I, however, am in good shape). I understand it is not an incredibly serious condition and is easily treated; however, with many doctor visits to come, on top of my mother being ill, working my day job, and maintaining my GPA for my senior year, I've got quite a heavy plate right now. I just need to take some time for myself and my family, as well as my studies (majoring in Physics is no walk in the park).

I appreciate all of your support throughout my time here on the forum, and I will still be here (no worries). I'm not going anywhere as far as the forum goes; though, as far as appointments go, I'm looking at a possible return sometime in early 2014, maybe around February or March. We'll just have to see how things are looking; could be earlier, could be later.

Nonetheless, I will be finishing out my bookings for this month to hopefully put some sort of dent in my doctor's fees. Maybe if things are going well, I'll be back on the grind by December, but I'll definitely keep everyone posted.

Thanks for all of your love and support in getting this far!

Xoxo,

Elliot

Well Elliott, take care with what is on your plate for now, it seems that you do have more than enough to deal with, this is probably a good decision... all things in good time. The best of luck with your diagnosis. Yes in many respects it is easily treatable, my father had it also, but you have to follow doctors orders. And I hope also that your mothers illness is short lived.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts here, and hope that you are able to maintain contact. The best of luck with school and our thoughts will be with you....Take care, be safe, and we'll keep the home fires burning.

I like a guy who has priorities and you seem to have all your priorities in the right place. So best of luck to a guy who seems to have it all together. Plus, you have no idea how I admire someone who is a brain when it comes to physics as that was my worst subject EVER!!! I have a story about my college physics professor, but now is not the time. In any event, family, health, and school should indeed be your primary focus. You are indeed a well grounded individual... Take care and be well!

Elliot -- I am sorry to hear this but am very glad to hear that you have your priorities straight. Take the time you need to do what you need to do. You have things in the proper perspective. You know where we are. At least I hope you can join Dane and Hunter in DC for the DC forum weekend. It would be fun if nothing else.

Anyway, please stay in touch. You have my number. And we'll be in touch on FB as well. Be healthy. Do well in school. Or I will have Dane and Hunter kick your butt. And you know I can have them do that. :)

I second all the good wishes and good advice from the posters above. Your health, family and school need to come first and the rest will follow in due time. Type 2 is manageable, and your Doctor and Dietitian are your allies in this fight. Take care of yourself, above all else. Good luck and we hope to hear from you here from time to time.
