In another current thread (in the Ask the Escorts section) one fellow made a reference to hiring 79 times so far this year. Another mentioned a guy who hires, on average, 50 times a year. Forgive my newbie shock, but ... WOW!

 

I realize we all come at this from different places (single vs. partnered, wealthy vs. comfortable-enough-to-have-this-hobby) and that there must be a substantial variation in how often we hire, but is 50+ times a year well above the norm? (I'll admit that I'd been thinking I could maybe/probably do this 4-to-6 times a year before I worried I was getting a little addicted.)

When I was hiring the most, I hired the same person every month and hired other guys maybe two to four times per year. I almost never hire escorts any more.

+1....personally I think it is wonderful for the poster that is hiring in the 70-80 range per year, but for me, even during the height of my hiring, it was about once a month. I would also do massages about once a month, but that would be it. Starbuck, you should hire when you feel like it or when your wallet permits. This is not a competition, it should be about fulfilling your desires, without bankrupting the future. IMHO anyway.

I haven't hired since the last one that cost me $1000+ in cancellation fees. I am thinking about trying once again early next year. I would also consider trying again (for one hour) if there were anybody in my geographical location that I were interested in. The bad experience I had last plus the constant fraud and misrepresentation in ads (i.e. fake pictures) isn't helping. In the past I might be willing to risk $100 to meet someone that I had no personal knowledge of, but $200, $250 or more- no way- not a chance in hell.

 

More than likely I am 100% done with anything but a 1 hour appointment. I used to do overnights, weekends, and extended vacations.

As usual the sage BG is right on the money here... and confirms what is basically the average at best for most guys who post here... and especially those who live in or near the candy store that is NYC plus other high working guy population areas. Furthermore, regarding testing guys out, nobody is better at it than the guy from Brooklyn... DAMN!!! When a guy got the Brooklyn Guy (aka JT Brooklyn in the "olden" dsys) seal of approval you knew you were in for one hell of a good time. Well, in BG's mode of hiring the word hell is used figuratively... In my case the meaning is usually a bit more literal!!!! :o

For me it's only the cost of hiring that limits my escort time. Perhaps that's a good thing, in that it allows me to get on with a life that doesn't revolve around hot and steamy sexcapades. I always schedule long (3 or 4 hours) sessions or overnights because then we both get a chance to relax, talk and get to know parts of each other outside our cocks and arses. It works out to about once a month and I'm sure that it would be every 2 or 3 weeks if the budget did allow for it.

I guess part of it is how you view a hire. If I do one date, but with 2 or 3 guys, is that 1 or 3? I guess this year I probably average about 2 times a month with someone more hires counting the 2 person (4 or 5 times) and 3 person hires (2 times).

After hiring quite a lot in the past, I cut back and nearly stopped completely three or four times (that is, going 2 or 3 years with no hires whatsoever). Part of the reason was beginning to get out of shape, and the other was simply not interested in all the hassle of hiring and then being disappointed.

 

I am more comfortable (but not at all satisfied or happy) with my current size, wish I could lose more and get back into decent shape, but also am enjoying a different client-escort relationship where the escorts are more mature (over 30 or 40 years of age or higher), and far more intellectually as well as physically engaging. But the economy tells me to slow down a bit and limit myself to maybe now one hire a month and perhaps one or two nice massages in between.

I see 2 guys regularly (weekly) and sometimes meet another newbie or a traveling guy. I usually see them for 1 hour as i don't really know what to do with a sleepover (i need my own zipcode when i sleep). However, 1 of the guys i see gives me a special rate for sleepovers (half his listed rate) and I usually do that maybe twice a month. I used to hire for wham bam thank you man. The last number of years it has evolved into more of a "date" and/or "travel" scenario. Dinners. Clubs. Nice hotel stays. This only works with guys one connects with and feels comfortable with. I probably hire less now just because I want to be sure it's going to work....which means it has to be someone previously tried and tested. Blind hiring for these types of scenarios off of RB is too much of a crapshoot. Therefore my hiring is less frequent than say 5 years ago....but I'm actually spending more money now due to the hiring sessions being for a longer period of time.

Let's put it this way: I've been at this for just under two years, so I still feel like a kid in a candy store. I have, however, started to build up a list of the guys I like to see regularly. Currently, there are four of them. For me, 1 hour is too short, but 2 hours is perfect--time to chat and play and, maybe do a bit of eating or drinking. There are about 5 other guys who visit my area regularly that I'd happily do a repeat with. And there are another five or so that are on my radar (with no concerns about legitimacy). I find that I'm ready (and able) for an encounter every 3 days or so. So, for this relatively short period, my hiring is on the heavy side. Financially, it's unsustainable in the long run, but, for now, I'm okay. The other problem I have (not really too vexing) is juggling all the appointments so I schedule fairly and without conflicts.

If I resided in a city with a more consistent escort base, I would likely hire often. As such, I usually hire when 2 or 3 times a year for an extended weekend or vacation. I supplement the escort sessions with a (mostly therapeutic) massage about every month.

I do it for fun. As long as no one is emotionally hurt or financially ruined, I think it is ok to hire as much and often as one would like.

I'd hire about twice a month if I could, but with my budget, I have to keep it to once a month to five weeks. And that's just for 90 minutes or so. If I hire twice in one month or do something extra, I usually skip hiring the next month.

I used to have a guy who I would see every week or two and another who I would see every month. Unfortunately, my weekly escort passed away a few years ago. My monthly escort moved to Florida. I have tried to develop regulars but I prefer that they travel to me and the more recent guys I have tried, have stopped travelling. Today, i attempted to hire someone for a second time only to drive a total of 7 hours and be stood up. So for me, I will be hiring less until I find someone reliable and willing to travel. A bit Pollyanna, but hell, I decided, shelve the appointment disappointment and look for something good today.
