The opinions about all of this are, of course, very subjective. I hate having porn on when I'm with an escort. I don't care what he says, I end up feeling that I'm the secondary target of his lust and that's not what I'm paying a hefty fee for. And like one of the other posters, if it's straight porn, I leave. I know there are gay guys who get turned on by straight porn but I'm not one of them and if I'm hiring, I think my preferences should take precedence. I'm not arrogant or beligerent about it but I'm pretty forthright about stating the atmosphere I'd like to have during my session. I was once with an escort who told me he could only cum while watching straight porn and since we'd had so much fun up to that moment, I decided to go with it. He lay on his back, the laptop next to him, and stroked while he watched what looked like a gynecologic exam to me. That's kind of why I don't watch straight porn anymore. I liked watching the guy's dick and their ass but with 2 eyes it's hard to focus on 1 person. Interesting Thread. Right now I have two computer screens and my television on, and there's porn playing on two of them (MSNBC, another kind of porn for me, is on the TV). Sometimes it's on the tv too. Sometimes I have my ipad open so I'm reading and typing, while viewing, distractedly, porn on three (or 4) screens. My point is that I always have porn on at home. Why? Because I can. But, it's so constant, that I often either don't notice it or barely register it. (and sometimes something will happen that's so riveting, MSNBC will become background noise, and my hands will move off the keyboard and onto my dick, which is easy because why would anyone ever wear clothes when home alone. Then, scene over, back to typing and reading.)

 

So, I often forget it's even on when I greet a guest. I don't think there's any disputer that I am 100% client oriented, so I'm not one of those escorts who has one eye on the porn (or worse, both eyes) while someone is in my arms. But nobody has ever said anything negative about it, and some have said they love that I have porn going. Most often I do think to turn it off, but sometimes I forget. It never occurred to me, and nobody ever said, that it would upset them ...

 

My observation is slightly different from Rod Hagen's.

 

Years ago when I installed a big screen in the bedroom, it was for the purpose of viewing porn for my visitors.

 

Soon after, I noticed that very few of my clients were actually interested in having porn played in the background. I made sure to address the question specifically and not impose by having porn running on the screen when they arrive. My observation was that for 99%, porn was unnecessary (or even "distracting") during the encounter.

 

The thought of porn going on multiple screens 24/7 reminded me of the sleazy TV serial about a meth house.

 

 

I don't play porn in the background, not because I can't, but because I choose not to.

Last year I spent an overnight with an escort I had spent a lot of time before. Since the last time I had seen him, he had added a relatively large TV in his bedroom with an accompanying huge collection of porn. When we retired to the bedroom, he asked what type of porn I would like to watch. My answer was US!!! One of our best times together--definitely did not need the porn playing.

I DO NOT want it on during a get together with an escort -- PERIOD. I would find it an annoying distraction. In fourteen years of hiring escorts I have NEVER had an escort suggest it let alone having it playing when I arrived at his place. If in the future an escort were to insist I would be out of there.

Lets see, I finally get up the nerve to spend time with Rod Hagen. Every review and also the pictures are telling that I am going to have the time of my life. I've suggested it, and my clients have as well. It's just another manner of incorporating a third (or more) into the action, especially for someone who likes a sip of Diet Sleazy without having to drink the whole cup. I would actually be more concerned about my partner's taste in porn rather than the desire or need for porn itself.

Excellent point Mr. E. I used to think that it was a distraction, but recently have had some positive experiences with porn being played in the background. ;)

I don't watch much porn but I have to agree with Steven that the sound effects can sound force and fake. But maybe that's the quality- or lack thereof!- of the quality of porn I've seen. Again, not really a porn viewer.

I almost always have porn playing on my computer or the hotel TV (if available) when a guy (hired or not) comes over. The guys I tend to hire the most (younger, black, top guys) seem to like it and yea they watch it while we're doing whatever we're doing. I know they're ultimate hookup ain't a 50 something white guy so if that's what it takes for them to get it up and keep it up I'm accepting of it.

I'm not exactly sure why this year-old thread was revived, but I will chime in anyway.

 

I hired Rod a couple years ago and recall the porn multi-screen set up. Couldn't tell you what was on screen as one gay porn video is pretty much the same as any other. Moaning, groaning, lousy background music, and odd camera angles.

 

BUT, I can easily state without equivocation that Rod Hagen is one of the best experiences I've ever had in all my years of hiring. Rod took me to levels of sensation that I never knew existed. I experimented with screening muted porn with my own music during escort sessions. Some clients liked it, some didn't: eventually I decided to drop it unless it was requested.

 

When hosting a massage session, I often screen either the fireplace channel, the aquarium channel or the sunset channel, with the sound effects on low and my own music. I get a lot of positive feedback to this approach, especially the crackling fireplace in winter.
