If a guy's porn career can help his escorting career, can it also hurt it?

 

I can think of a couple of scenarios ... just wondering if any of you have been dissuaded by these or other considerations ... (1.) You try to play as safely as possible, so you won't hire an escort you've seen barebacking on film ... (2.) You like the looks of that hunky guy who now advertises as a dom top, but you can't escape the video clip image of him as a young twink, squealing like a girl under some other dom top.

LOL...loved the pm, so I had to post here. I am or was a bit of a "pornaholic" so I often would hire based on what I saw on film, but I think that the answer to your question is yes and yes, and it depends. I know personally of one porn star who was a very dominate top, but friends told me privately that behind closed doors he was just a 'big ol bottom boy' and yes, as SB mentions, he would scream like a little girl. For me that was a turn on, so I hired based on that information alone, whereas, that would be a turn off to some.

 

And while an escort barebacking on film, at least according to many of the members around here, is an absolute 'no no' in terms of their decision to hire, for me.... not so much. I very often will only look to some muscle worship or 'vanilla' scene in my personal hiring, so if the escort has BB on film, it won't necessarily stop me from hiring him. That's just me of course.

 

When all is said and done, I don't think that an escorts 'porn career' will help or hurt their 'escorting career'. While many will judge escorts on what they do on film and will not hire based on what they see, there will always be many more who either don't care what the escort does on film or actually like what they see, and hire based on that....

 

Sorry, this probably didn't help, I don't think that there are any definitive answers. How each of us views escorts and how they behave else where varies from individual to individual.

Definitely help, as far as I'm concerned. I'd be interested in Jake Andrews anyway, but after seeing his Sean Cody scene with Jamie, I'd be dying to ask him if it was really as hot as it appeared on film.

On the question of the forum - I have hired guys who have been in porn, and those not in it and have mixed views. I know that on film they are acting and taking on a role or persona that may (and often does) NOT mirror their real life personality. I take that for what it is; I also have no problem with a guy who has acted in a BB film -- I have hired my share of escorts who I am sure are HIV+ (some have admitted it to me) but since I am very vanilla in my tastes (see another posting), and never top or bottom, and observe some pretty basic hygiene rules, a guys HIV status is not a big issue with me.

There was a guy who appeared in print photo layouts as Marco or Daddy Marco years ago. I had thought he was extremely hot. When he showed up in the Frontiers classifieds as an escort I had decided that he was a must have if I ever made it to LA. By the time he made it to NY on a trip I had seen him in a few videos as Marco Martinelli. He wasn't nearly as exciting in video as he was in prior photo layouts in Honcho and Mandate. He was the weak link in one threeway scene and his scenes as a daddy-top were bland. In print his dick looked kind of big and thick, but in video it was obviously average.
