When you hire during the Xmas/new year season, do you give extra cash gift aside from the usual tip (if you give one)? If you do, how much do you give?

I think this has to be a very personal decision. As far as what I do myself, if I happen to hire a favorite escort during the holidays or around their birthday, I always give them a generous bonus and sometimes additionally a card expressing how special they are to me. This is just what I enjoy doing. I’m sure there are probably as many variations on this as there are clients who hire.

Tipping and gift-giving have been discussed here almost every year since I first joined (and that was a LONG time ago when HooBoy ran the show).

 

I often tip (but that is both my upbringing and my nature). In Europe back in the day, rates for guys, whether for a few hours or an overnight, were way cheaper than the U.S. Often I would bring small gifts when visiting countries in Eastern or Central Europe (extravagant for them, but for me, such as a new pair of Diesel Jeans, or Dolce and Gabbano sweater). This was not for every guy; rather for a few selected individuals, ones whose birthday I knew, or who were visiting me (or me visiting them) during a holiday time, I would bring something small and personal (and definitely not worth more than $50-$100).

 

Here in the States I am more reserved. On occasion when the encounter called for something beyond the usual, I would prepare a tip to the fee and often include a small gift card that I know an escort could use/appreciate. This does not call for a discount later, nor is it expected.

Diesel jeans now cost more than $300! What I meant was say you regularly tip, do you tip extra on holidays.

Tighty, I would not give out Diesel jeans these days -- that was a while back...

 

On current policy, if I plan to spend time with any of a small and select handful of guys I have come to really enjoy and mutually respect, I am sure I will add a gift but in a very reasonable for this economy level. I try t find things that are meaningful and not necessarily expensive.

 

I do regularly tip (no more than $40 or $50 at most) and for holidays it may be cash plus a small gift card (like iTunes or some eatery). Much depends on the guy.
