This Week at The Gaiety (week ending Nov 24)

Welcome to This Week at The Gaiety, the hottest show in town. I thought this week’s show was a mediocre one, not that good, but still worth seeing (I think I’d say that any week, as there are always some favorites). I think that as I see the show more times each week, I grow fonder of most of the performers; they kind of grow on you. Of course most of you more rational folks don’t see the show as many times as me, so your one time viewing the show has to be the determinant of whether it’s a good or bad show. I’d definitely love to hear your feedback. One random comment before I get started. Next weekend, there is what should be a fun event going on in the city. It’s called HustlaballNYC2002 or HB for short (no, it’s not named after Hooboy). The website for it (which sometimes has problems being accessed (maybe it’s being updated?)) is http://www.hustlaball.com . There are 3 events, starting next Friday night with a Fetish party at The Lure. On Saturday night, there is the Porn party, also at The Lure. The featured event is Hustlaball itself, starting at 5pm on Sunday and continuing well into the night. Admission Friday and Saturday is 5 bucks (I think) and there’s a floating scale on Sunday ($10 from 5-8pm, $15 8-9pm, 20 after that). You can also purchase a VIP ticket for 100 bucks; it sounds like a decent deal (see website to see what it includes). Scheduled to appear at this event are (among others), co-hosts Michael Brandon and Hedda Lettuce. Also featured is porn-star Caesar, who is a very hot stud. There are also a lot of other featured performers, many of whom can be seen on the website. Given that I will be busy with Thanksgiving and Hustlaball, next week’s review will be quite abbreviated and won’t appear until Tuesday (I hope).

 

As always, the opinions expressed here are mine. I do not claim to be an expert on this topic and realize that your taste/opinions may be totally different than mine. We all like different things and every single one of the performers in a show has his own fans. As an example, the gentleman sitting next to me Saturday night did not tip a dancer the entire night until we came to the last performer. Finally, he placed his 2 dollars on the stage and I commented to him, you finally found one you like. He said, smiling, I like it when they can’t dance! See, it takes all sorts. A friend commented that he liked the same dancer because he appeared to be scared on stage.

 

1. Sebastian, a nice-looking performer, spiked black hair, a very well-toned body, good dancer, lots of leg movement, showing off of his nice looking butt. I think his best feature is his abundant uncut dick, which he has no problem getting hard.

 

2. Joey Jordan, making his second appearance at The Gaiety. I really like his personality and he’s a good-looking man. The thing I like best about him is that he appears to really bask in the attention and admiration he gets on stage. He doesn’t have an ego at all and you can tell from the smile on his face, that he appreciates the attention he’s getting from the patrons. He has a very nice body, it’s quite muscular and he knows how to show it off. He flexes well, jiggles his pecs, shows off his butt, his nice dick. He interacts very well with the audience, looking at them, smiling, radiating a warm personality. In the lounge, he seems to be the same way, very popular and personable. I believe Joey can be seen on Mark Dalton’s website.

 

3. Nino Bacci, a Falcon video star and a recent Torso feature (January 2003 edition). Nino grew on me through the week. When I first saw the show, he was quite wooden on stage (no, I don’t mean his hard-on). He looked a bit uncomfortable out there. By the weekend, he had relaxed a lot and was having fun. He’s more slender in body-type, but has a nice body, a good dick and a butt that many felt was attractive (I didn’t feel it was among his best parts). He was very sexy on stage, more sensual than most. He was quite playful showing off his butt, especially to the Saturday hooters club and even stuck out his tongue at them at the end of his show because they had thrown him off his routine by their catcalls. I think he had a fun time on stage. Nino is a handsome man. He has beautiful blue eyes and a nice face. He’s not as young as most of the dancers, but he’s still a very good looking man (you can check him out at http://www.ninobacci.com ). The rumor on the streets is that Nino is the current roommate of the infamous Chi Chi LaRue.

 

4. Jay, a tall, blondish performer who is good looking and puts on a very good dance routine, spinning around the stage recklessly but adroitly in both his first and second numbers. I am often worried that he’s going to fall off the stage, but I haven’t seen it happen yet. He did make quite a mess on the stage with his baby oil as he sprawled all over the place. I like that he puts on a real show. Given my overly documented strong preference for having the dancers go barefoot, Jay wins bonus points for stripping down to only his underwear in his first number. On Saturday, I liked that he removed his shoes and socks even before he took off his shirt, nice twist. He is very captivating as he prances about the stage, especially noticeable because he’s a very tall guy. I think many felt he was a bit effeminate in his dancing, but I didn’t find that to be the case at all. He has a very nice looking body, a good dick and an at least an average quality butt. He has a nice smile and seems to be a nice guy. He is a sometimes performer at The Nob Hill theatre in San Francisco (apparently a lot more of the guys are performing there these days; Jay is pictured on their site, http://www.nobhilltheatre.com as Switter Joe.

 

5. Brad, a very cute blond boy (21 years old) from Texas. He was the only one of the regulars (he actually only danced the weekend but should be back December 16) who didn’t go barefoot, sporting a pair of black cowboy boots, which didn’t do much for me. However, he is very good-looking, his body seemed to have grown a bit since his first appearance. He is an excellent dancer, good stage performer and has a radiant smile. He has a very nice dick (the exuberance of youth) and a well-shaped rear-end. I spoke to Brad briefly in the lounge and he seems like a nice kid.

 

6. William, the star entertainer of the show, it’s more like a circus act when he’s out there. He is amazing with his handstands, his spins and his facial expressions. He’s extremely audience conscious, waving to some members, even those midway back in the theatre, changing his facial expressions constantly, always trying to amuse us. He has a very well-toned body, lean in nature; to do the feats that he does, he must be incredibly strong. William’s hair was much improved from his last appearance; I liked it better in his first few visits, but the consensus was that this week’s style was a winner. William was a bit more sexual in his first number, pointing out his boner as a scene change. He has a nice ass, which he showed off quite well. I had to laugh when one customer said “I can see Jerusalem” when William opened wide at a weekday performance. It made everyone laugh. William is a regular performer at The Nob Hill but I don’t believe he’s on their website.

 

7. Jake (not Saturday night) the Snake, back after a few months off, he was looking great. He looked more toned than I’ve seen him in a while, his hair was bleach blond and he’d let it grow out longer. I thought it was a really good look for him. He’s a short sparkplug, good dancer, nice devilish smile, but his calling card is his enormous dick, especially for someone his height. The crowd always goes wild when they see him out there. He has a sheepish grin, like, you all know what you’re looking at and I’m ok with it. I think Jake has a very good butt also. He’s a very sexy guy. I think he has a fun personality, especially on the stage. He was a bit annoyed on Saturday afternoon when his music was changed, but made the best of it and still put on a good show.

 

8. James, a very nice guy, extremely well-toned, very natural and very fastidious looking in his appearance, with not one hair out of place. He’s an excellent dresser, always looking great and this week, for the first time, seemed totally comfortable on stage. He smiled a lot more than I’ve seen him in the past, he danced well, he showed his ass a lot more than in the past. He was among the most popular of the performers in the show this week. I suspect he will be moving up in the pecking order in future appearances. James is a very personable and friendly guy. He has a sweet disposition and everyone who knows him speaks very highly of him.

 

9. Sylvio, a long-haired handsome guy, nice body, great eyes that he unfortunately obscures with his hair, average sized dick, nice butt. I think it’s funny that he has such long hair but that he is completely shaved down below, not an ounce of hair. He is very much like an Italian movie star on stage, very dramatic in his movement and demeanor and in his looks.

 

10. Kenneth, a young blond, cute, nice body but not all that muscular. He does a lot of bumping and grinding and showing off his butt on stage. Seductive act. Again, a decent sized dick and a nice butt.

 

11. Seth, an even younger newcomer, longish dark hair, lean body, not muscular at all (that’s not to say he’s out of shape). He appeared to be very nervous on stage, though he did better on Saturday than on Friday where he didn’t remove anything in his first number. I think the management needs to do more training with the newcomers so they know what to do on stage.

 

12. Angel, a very good-looking blond, great dancer, although his performance this week was not up to his usual standard. He has great soccer legs, a beautiful butt and an average sized dick. He’s very personable in the lounge, nice guy.

 

13. Tony (Saturday only), a cute light haired boy, doesn’t do too much on stage in his first number, but I like his looks a lot. He looks a bit more muscular than before, but he’s hardly muscular. He comes out in his second song with a beautiful dick, big and pretty thick and a cute butt. I particularly like the way he crawls down the stage at the end of his routine, very sexy. I really liked this kid, I hope to get to talk to him more this coming week.

 

14. Danny, a newcomer who started the week in the first position as a regular and ended in last position. In the lounge, dressed, he looks really handsome, very good looking. Onstage, he has a very nice body, well toned, but he was completely clueless on stage, having absolutely no idea what to do. I felt badly for him when he couldn’t get a hard-on either Friday or Saturday night. He clearly was embarrassed by this and his show just deteriorated from there. Sometimes it feels like the DJ leaves the guys who are suffering out there too long, this was painful to watch.

 

Not a great show but still entertaining.

 

Next week’s show looks like Kenneth, Seth and Tony will be returning. Joining them will be Alejandro, Adam and Felipe. I am not sure what is in store for the weekend.

Sad that the rumors of Denise coming out of retirement never materialized or that her rolodex didn't get sent to the Smithsonian, The shabby beauty of the Gaiety theater is no more.
