Hello little ones! There has been a dearth of material for me to comment on but this morning's reviews contain, although not a gem, at least a cubic zirconium.

Sadly, this will not be a deconstruction of the review but instead a few trenchant observations.

For the lazy among us (and they are legion) I will copy the review from our own SilverDollar.

"Experience: Based on the reviews here I took a chance and invited Zack to meet me in New York for an overnight. He is obviously very young and new to this, so I was not sure how it would work out. He is difficult to communicate with and only seems to check his email infrequently, preferring the telephone. That, however, is difficult for me because I can't leave my cell phone on much of the time. In any event, we managed to agree a date and I forwarded to him the cash cost of his tickets. Through out several more belabored exchanges we also agreed on what we might get into. I was in communication with him right up until the day before he was to meet me in New York. The plan was for him to call me when he arrived at the airport and then take a taxi to the hotel. I was checked in waiting for his call at the appointed hour. I also checked and found that his plane had indeed landed on time. He finally did call, but not from the airport but from Houston. He never left. He said he was “sick” all day and could not make it. He had not bothered to call or even email me when he decided not to show much earlier in the day.

In a further email exchange and a call, I gave him the benefit of the doubt (even though I was now out one round trip airfare) when he offered to meet me in New York the following week for a reduced fee. I did tell him that I had already booked someone else for that night, so it would be a three way. Once again, he no showed with no advance warning. Only a fairly impolite email after the fact.

This boy is obviously very cute and I am sure the guys writing his other reviews had a great time, as indicated. The lesson in the above tale is for those considering arranging a meeting with him in another city. Caveat emptor. I travel and use escorts all the time, often arranging for guys to travel to meet with me on the road. I always pay in advance for the ticket and in that sense am always at risk. In many years of experience, this is only the second time someone has stood me up and it is disappointing. It is the policy of this board to give the escort the right to respond with the last word, so you may see a reply from Zack below. All I can say is what is written above is what happened and I will stand on the integrity of my many prior reviews."

My first thought is: SilverDollar, you're an idiot. You chose a guy who is "difficult to communicate with and only seems to check his email infrequently, preferring the telephone" yet it's "difficult for (you) because (you) can’t leave (your) cell phone on much of the time."

Yep, sounds like a recipe for disaster to me. Oh yeah, and let's FLY that guy in from out of town. <eye roll>

So, he didn't show because he's "sick" it turns out (more on that shortly) and instead of cutting your loses you decide, genius that you are, that you should give the lad "the benefit of the doubt". <second eye roll> I have a feeling that you think there should have been a NINETEENTH UN Resolution for Saddam to comply to the previous 18 resolutions, but I digress......

So, back in la la land (and I don't mean LA) you agree to meet him a second time in that lovely little hamlet named Manhattan - at a reduced fee. (Zack's largess is enough to make a dockworker weep)

oops, young Zack doesn't show again. Shocking. Simply shocking. WHAT is this generation coming to???

SilverDollar, you've hired enough hookers to know better. When you see red flags in the beginning, PAY ATTENTION. What else did do need to have happen to convince you he was going to be trouble? Did you need Robot to come crashing through your door, his metal arms waving up and down, intoning "Danger SilverDollar! Danger SIlverDollar!!!"?

Gimme a fucking break. <third eye roll>

Now for young Zack..........

Zack, Zack, Zack. What are we going to do with you, huh?

You admit that you didn't call because you were sick and "in bed all day and most of the next".

Hmmm, how do I put this in a way you can understand?

(thinking while tapping my index finger lighting against my lower lip)

Oh, I know: BULLSHIT.

Zack, once upon a time we were all young fags who used the excuse: "I'm sorry I didn't call about not showing up for the party/date/get-together/exam/lecture/funeral/etc.". It was bullshit then, it's still bullshit now. We weren't sick. We just didn't want to do it so we used a bullshit excuse that would illicit the "OH MY! I'm soooooo sorry!" response and get us off the hook for our irresponsible behavior. That excuse ranks #2 only to the All-Time Champion: "Did you leave me a voicemail?? OMG! I never got it!!" And #3 is: "I'm sorry I haven't called, I've been sooooo busy with work!" For a full list of all the bullshit excuses, please visit our website at http://www.bullshitexcuses.com

Zack, you would have us believe that you were soooooooooooooooo sick that it rendered you incapable of getting your boney little ass out of the bed so as to drag the phone to your bed so you can make a call to a person who has SENT YOU MONEY and EXPECTS YOUR BONEY ASS TO BE THERE WHEN YOU SAID YOU'D BE THERE.

Zack, were you soooooooo sick that you couldn't even pull your boney ass off the bed to crawl to the bathroom? Did you take a shit in your death bed? If not, chances are you passed THE PHONE on your way to the bathroom and you could have taken THE PHONE with you (assuming you had the strength to do this) and CALLED SilverDollar while your boney ass was sitting on the throne.

I think it's safe to say that even if your little "I was sick" story is true that your illness WASN'T so debilitating that you couldn't pick up a phone (from a sickness that lasted only 36 hours) and call a person who: a) sent you money and b) expects you to be where you said you'd be at the time you said you'd be there.

So, although SilverDollar is an idiot for hiring you. You're a lying, irresponsible fag. In my book (which is currently #785 on Amazon.com), yours is the bigger offenses.

As for the second part of the review: who cares? You lost all your credibility in the first half and the first half isn't in dispute regarding the facts.

Zack, the guys who hire you are adults, They can handle the truth. If you've suddenly gotten cold feet or have an honest conflict, or, mercy me, your're high as a kite on crystal meth and don't want to leave your home because you've been awake for four days straight, haven't eaten and are getting fucked by one stranger after the other, just tell them. They can handle it. Don't try to hide behind Bullshit Excuse #1. Because when you do, I'll gladly make your life a living hell here in our little cyber-sandbox.

Sternly yours,

FFF

I don't want to be hasty in my judgment of Zack but as one who spent a lifetime working with and supervising others I can attest that, "I was deathly ill," is definitely #1 on the list of excuses. It seems that Zack has used this ploy before when he failed to deliver. Read his first review where the client paid $2000 for a weekend tryst and was saving the grand finale for the last night when Zack was to fuck his brains out. Alas, he fell ill and couldn't participate. The boy seems to have a delicate constitution. Maybe he is too fragile for this line of work.

ROTFLMFAO!!!! It's truly amazing that they can convince themselves that someone is going to really believe their bullshit. And I agree 110% that most clients are adults and can handle the actual truth. They may not like it, but would rather just hear the truth than all the ridiculous, lame, preposterous excuses. "Delusion" is a wonderful thing and it seems lots of escorts suffer from this.

During the last three years, I have had more than a couple boys cancel on me at the last minute. For the following reasons....a blackout on the L in Chicago, a broken leg incurred while hiking, the flu, a cut arm, a dick caught in his zipper, constuction on the freeway (twice), "I forget all about it and scheduled studio time"...but every one of these guys picked up the phone and called me. Yeah, I was disappointed but that's life. Also, each and every one of them paid to reschedule the flight on whatever date worked for me and showed up the second time.

I have read SilverDollar's reviews, admired his choices, and respected his opinions....and will continue to...but it seems like all of us (me definately included) have had lapses in judgement and have proceeded when everything said STOP....and what the real value of this site is to me is that you guys have emailed me and told me things that were not in any review and warned me. I still fucking wanted them, but I have learned to listen. Most of the time, anyway.

Very well said, I too have suffered from a lapse in judgement before and have found myself and my wallet suffer the consequences. I can honestly say that I have learned alot in dealing with the "working bois" and have been shocked at some of their behavior I have experienced.

My thoughts exactly. What I also find amazing is the degree of obsession which completely clouds all sense of judgment from some johns. When I started reading the review, I first thought the john must live in Little Rock or some other place with few if any escorts. But what degree of obsession must one have to not find a single acceptable escort living in New York City? Leaving aside New York City, of all the escorts in the U.S.A., you decide to send an unchangeable ticket to someone who plays hard-to-get while you're trying to hire him? (although I suspect that at least part of the air ticket could have been applied towards a future flight had it been cancelled beforehand).

The sheer sociopathy of not even calling the john boggles the mind. We've seen it many times before, but it's beyond my comprehension how someone can be so callous as to not bother to literally lift his finger to let the john know he wasn't coming.

In the heat of lust, we've all made some dumb mistakes. It happens. But some mistakes are smarter than others. I've never really understood how anyone could send a complete stranger money--as this Silver Dollar said, there's risk here. DUH! Why can't you high rollers get on a plane yourselves if you want an escort that badly? You might save yourselves some money and the self-loathing that follows when you beat yourself up for being so dumb.

There are too many escorts that travel all over the country. Surely with all the reviews on this site, people should know better. Fing Fang Foom is hilariously correct to heap the tons of scorn Zack so richly deserves because he is a lying, cheating little ####. But Silver Dollar with all his experience, should have known better.

Just for the record I was the client who wrote Zack's first review. I believe he was legitimately sick that night. If he wasn't he should be a Hollywood actor, as he was able to fake a very high fever among other things. However, in this particular case I find it VERY hard to believe that he was too sick to call the client to say he would be a no-show.

Interesting for me that this should come up just now, as I just had a terrific overnight with Zack last week. And I sent in a review of the experience yesterday.

My two cents worth......I found Zack to be very easy to contact by PHONE. I don't think I ever got his voicemail once no matter what time of day I called, while he never responded to my e-mails. So, as he makes very plain in his ad, CALL him to make any arrangements.

I found him to be very professional and accomodating in setting up an out of town overnight. I booked the ticket. (Note to Silver Dollar:I think it's insane and unnesessary to send anyone money for that purpose. THAT you should have known better.)

You can read about my time with Zack when the review comes out ( e-mail me if you want my impressions sooner).

I find it remarkable that some here have chastized Silver Dollar for flying an escort in from far off when there are so many available locally. These are generally the ones who are quick to call escorts #### and fags, so obviously for them any old dick and hole will do. Zack is that rare gem (young smallish mucled jock boy) for whom I comb this site and others to find, but only infrequently do, and I am willing to fly them long distances to get what I want ( and clearly taking a chance every time I do).

Would I have contacted Zack after Silver Dollar's bad review? Call me crazy, but yes I probably would have gone ahead and taken the chance.

One further comment: Zack has taken many extended trips across the country, so unless there is more evidence to the contrary, I would guess that Silver Dollar's experience is the exception...not the rule. Just make sure you contact him by PHONE.

My review of Zack seems for some reason to have generated more interest than it is probably worth. By way of further explanation, I travel a lot and mainly meet with escorts when I am on the road because I am in a hotel anyway. Depending on where I am, I use local guys if someone I like is available, but often fly guys in to meet with me. In most cases, the guys I see are escorts that I have seen before and arranging travel is simple. I just settle up when we meet. Occasionally, however, I use a trip to "sample" a new guy who looks interesting based on an ad or a review. In these cases, it is of course necessary to prepay the travel expenses. You can do that two ways. You can buy a ticket for him yourself or you can send the money to the escort and let him get his own ticket. I always do the latter for security reasons and take the risk accordingly. That is my choice. Ticket prices being as low as they are now, I personally find the risk acceptable, and in my experience, it has almost always worked out. In this case, it did not.

This was not a communication problem, by the way. Email vs. the phone was not the issue. We communicated easily and exchanged several messages by both means. The problem with Zack was his decision not to communicate.

As a result of this experience, I lost a couple hundred dollars and wasted a bit of time with a guy who failed to keep his commitments. I obviously don't know whether he was sick or not. It is hard to imagine being so sick not to make a quick phone call. Once the first problem occurred, however, I did not waste any more money on Zack. All I did was to give him a chance to put the situation right (at his initial expense) and he did not follow through again. Fortunately, on the second occasion, I had another (great) guy lined up anyway, so it wasn't a big deal for me.

I took the trouble to write a review simply to alert the users of this site to a potential problem with this escort. Isn't that the point of this Board?

To those who have written about their positive experiences with Zack, I am sure those are genuine thoughts. I wish he had shown me a similar courtesy.

Hello, Fin Fang Foon Are you still around???

Why would you resurrect a thread that's been dormant for 15 years to ask if someone is still a member? In case you didn't know, you can click on someone's name and then look at the postings connected to that profile. In this case, you will see that this member last posted in 2005.

Interesting to reread this ancient thread which I had forgotten about. Unlike FFF, I am still around and still hiring, though of course not recently. Over the intervening years I have continued to fly in the occasional escort at my expense when I discover someone that really appeals to me and I am in a location where local talent is not of interest. The number of times that this approach has come back to bite me remains very, very low. Also, I will continue to chronicle my experiences with reviews and let the chips fall where they may, Love this Board.

And it loves you back.

Even when you were in the dreaded sights of FFF‘s caustic criticism, you responded with style and grace.

That’s wasn’t always an easy thing for some of us to do.

And I’ve never once been steered wrong by one of your recommendations on here.

You're a Prince in my book.
