Hey everyone. I've had a temporary reprieve from poverty. Instead of investing for my future, I'd like to blow some dough now. Two guys I've had the hots for for a long time are Ryan Idol and Alec Powers. Anyone know if they are escorting? Anyone have any experience with either of them? Thanks!

I was with Alec Powers about a year ago and found the session to be quite a bore. He is handsome enough but all he did was talk about his "fiancee" or so he said. Also complained about how sensitive his dick was when he got head. All in all, there are better choices, in my opinion, in LAs Vegas.

Alec Powers has been favorably reviewed. Don't try to contact him through "his" website. He has no connection with it and doesn't ever see the email sent to the address posted there. If I was going to try contacting him, I'd do it through Stefan LaCoste. (Stef is his best friend and workout partner.)

Haven't heard anything about Idol, other than the fact that he danced at a circuit party recently and half the guys on the dance floor were in better shape. :-(

Wasn't Ryan Idol in one of those "theatre productions" that are really just ways for guys who wouldn't go to sex shows to see porn stars "in the flesh" and for theatres to actual make profits and fill houses recently? (Yeah, it was him -- a few years ago -- because my boyfriend at the time auditioned for a role in the play at the Baliwick -- the play was a comedy about farmhands or something.)

Anyway, though he was still ruggedly handsome in the face, time hadn't been kind to him. Definitely still in the "fuckable" category -- but most of the guys auditioning were better. If you want to keep the fantasy going, better to watch "Idol Thoughts" in the VCR.

A side note -- he was allegedly bashed at a local Subway while he was in town.

(God, I hope I'm thinking of the right porn star here -- or my memory is already shot in my mid-twenties...)

Yes, Ryan Idol is the right guy. I think the play was Ronnie Larsen's "Making Porn". In addition to his encounter with bashers while here, he had a scuffle with someone backstage (typical diva) and ended up in a lawsuit over it.

This was before his push/fall/jump/whatever out a window in NYC.

Idol was about to open in a different nudie play here in Houston, when the theater that it was going to be at went belly up. Actually, they got caught being not up to code electrically and couldn't afford to rectify that. Of our four gay newspapers, two had large cover shots of Idol and flak stories, and a third had had the time (shorter lead time) to catch the full story, including the closing.

Actually, if you're at all still curious -- I had a flash of memory; the play that Ryan Idol was in was "Scent of Rain" -- it was actually a cute script -- for a lightweight gay comedy starring a porn star at least. I didn't see the show though.

I have heard, however, that a barowner here in Houston had paid for part of his appearance and had him in town for the Gay Pride Parade and maybe for a while afterwards, during what would have been the rehearsal period, showing him off in his bar. In fact, one of our local gay radio shows was going to interview him by remote from the bar, which is something they never do, and was taken completely by surprise by the nonevent.

That theater has been hurting for money, but has also made a few possible enemies. For example, they basically forced their Artistic Director to resign, leaving the theater in the hands of the man who had been the 'silent partner' when they opened. I'm not saying the outgoing AD was a vengeful person, but if there had been any non-code electricity, he (and a couple of others) would have been in a position to know and to snitch.
