China seems really to be opening up in a big way . . . A friend of mine has just got back from a business trip to Shanghai (alright, not an entirely typical Chinese city) and stayed in an hotel with about twenty attractive Chinese boys between 16 and 25 (what’s the Chinese for ‘twinks’, I wonder?) in neat little uniforms with 1920s flat hats. He made eye contact with one of them in a lift (not the first time the boy had done that with a Westerner, he would bet!) passed him a note with his room number on, and the boy turned up at midnight (after he’d finished work) dressed only in a track-suit and his skin, and was very happy indeed to go into action, and even happier with $20 - can you believe it, $20? He returned twice - the second time the night before John left, accompanied by a friend, and they had a great ‘Goodbye to China’ party, after which John gave them $75, and got the impression it would enable them to set up their own private brothel! This all sounds very promising indeed; but I wonder whether the atmosphere is the same in Beijing or other large cities? - and of course there may be a big clean-up before the Olympics, unless the Chinese realise how useful the pink dollar and pound are. Incidentally, I wasn’t altogether surprised to hear that things are more relaxed - I’ve been glancing for a few weeks at a Net site (http://www.asianboysnude.com if I’m allowed to advertise it) populated so far entirely by Chinese boys enjoying themselves (there’s a wonderful shoot in the open air involving six or eight of them). If you like Asian boys this is a must, and they say they’re going to expand. The only odd thing is that ALL the Chinese boys seem to have a thing about toe-sucking! (John says that when he put his boys off this - it doesn’t particularly turn him on - they sucked each others’, even when the action was at its livelies!

I was in China with the Ex 18 months ago. Beijing was tough, but we scored big time at the Nightman disco. The place was crawling with PLA (who didn't want the barbarians touching their lotus blossoms), but had some hotties (and this is generally not my cup of tea - but when in Rome, do the Romans). Also, the music rocked...the club could've been in NYC. (It's a small world after all.)

In Shanghai, the owner of Eddy's Bar would procure us a different flavor each night before we went out. He speaks very good English, but this isn't a House of Boys, so be discreet. (Another Traveller rule: Always ask. The worst you can get is a no, and you're in the same place you'd be without asking.)

In Hong Kong, there are a lot of escort agencies in the phone book. (One time I got one very hot Thai stud with a huge cock - see other thread.) AVOID THE ESCORT ADVERTISING AS GUY IN SPARTACUS. TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH. POCK MARKED AND FREAKY CRACK BOYS. Not many ex-pats left, unfortunately. Had big luck at Game Boy Fitness Club (a sauna) too. Some very buff and hot guys. Propaganda was pretty good also, but there was another, newer disco that I can't remember the name.

Taipei sucked (but not in a good way). Da Fan sauna was mediocre, at best.

Hope this helps.

Later.

I seem to recall that within the past 5 years, somebody was executed in China merely for having gay sex (and being repeatedly caught). While I doubt that they would do this to visiting foreigners in major cities, it makes me wonder what the overall climate is like their.

Of course, here in our in military we've had somebody bludgeoned to death for merely being suspected of being gay within the past 5 years . . .

Urghghghg; type in haste - repent in leisure. The option for editing seems to have disappeared (or has moved somewhere to where I'm blind to it.) Please subsititute

Hey Honcho, Next time just copy and past the entire message and make the corrections along with a cutsey statement. One of the moderators will notice the dupe and delete the earlier copy.
