Closure of Clubs in Mexico City

Any new information regarding the closure of clubs in Mexico City? I recently reviewed the Sergay site and now see that Penelope's is no longer mentioned. Clubs seem to be closing so fast that I am sure it's hard to keep the listings up to date in Sergay. I know they closed El Taller, El Amacen, El 14, Bar Zoo, Exacto. Any info. would be appreciated since I am heading that way in August. From the chat rooms, everyone says don't miss out on El Antro, Box or Toms. Any more suggestions? Thanks guys....

I knew 14 was closed due to affront of public morals, too bad cuz was lots of fun to see young Mexican military boys trying to pickup drag queens. Exacto was a fun, easy going place, too bad closed. El Taller has been a mainstay, popular, and the owners had lots of friends in the police department ($$$). Fox's current government is trying to cut down on corruption. Most gay bars have to pay off cops, so guess this is one of the first places they attack.

 

Good, fun, safe club is called Mariposas (a.k.a. Butterflies). Big disco, good mix of guys, usd $5 cover, and Las Vegas drag show.

Really sorry to hear this. Taller was a mainstay and perhaps the main bar. Last time I was there I went to a large bar (can't recall the name) in the Zona Rosa which had strippers. There was a side room with a show bar, and a curtain behind which lots of fun was to be had with the entertainers!!! There was also a large main bar, with stage and dance floor. Really big place. Tunnel like entrance which was very nice. What is its status???

I am not sure what the status are, but you can go on the gay.com latin area of the chat and you will find mexico city's rooms. There you can ask the boys what is going on.

YOu can even find a hottie of an escort, i think reviewed here, ARNOLD, is his gay.com handle.

Many of the guys in the room speak English so you will be able to carry some conversations.

if things are closed down.. they will soon reopen.. trust me.. i lived in mexico long enough.. i know how things work.. it might jsut take a while for things to get published on websites.

Jay: I sincerely hope your optimism is warranted. Mexico City is one of my most favourite cities of all and I would not want the bar closures to affect this. However, I have never called an escort there. Is there a good website to use? I have found so many young men for free in the bars it is really refreshing. The Mexican men just love older blonds I guess.

i always recommend the city for white guys who think they can not get the latino they want just by going out.... Mexico city is the place..many of us latino boys truly like older white guys.. not sure why.. but it happens. Although they might seem free, though, i have heard of guys who end up spending money on the boys, either because they feel sorry for their situation, or just out of the goodness of their heart. Mexico city is a great city, Wanna take me?

I do not know about the escort services there, however I met ARNOLD, from gay.com in the latino section, and he is a very hot guy.. and very "gifted". I would imagine he is a great companion.

Aside from sergay.com.mx i do not know any other sites. There is a site called mrpato or something like that for travel around mexico.

I admit that they do love the older white men. However, I was the only white man who went with a group of 4 and 2 were black. All of us were under 40. Their interest in the black men were very intriging to me. None of us had any problems picking up, but it seemed to me that they were more interested in the 2 black men then me. I must admit both black men were really good looking, but I was dressed much better. Goes to show you, you never know.... As I said, we all picked up. This is my second time going because of the success the first time.
