What is Canada Customs policy on one importing porn tapes? I have never tried and do not want the hassle if it is problematic. But there are some tapes I cannot buy up here in the frozen north, esp muscleworship series (which are j/o only from what I can see.

Fellow Canuks, what is your experience with our men in blue???

Customs officers can open and inspect any imported packages according to law so there is always a chance that they search your package (no pun intended, mmmmm...on second thought, would that be HOT, WOOF!) :p

Come on, "FROZEN NORTH"? It's not that cold up here! Ok, it's true --- we all live in igloos but that's why we need all the HOT MEN (like Matt in Vancouver) and TAPES that we can get our hands on! :)

But seriously, would the Canadian Customs sieze "muscleworship" or j/o tapes? My gut feeling (without any stimulation) :) is that they probably won't. I've ordered gay porns from the States three times now and only once (the 2nd time) was the package opened. But they still let the tape go through (the tape was sent to my home and there was a label on the package saying that it has been opened by the Customs). Based on the information provided on the net by some porn companies that ship to Canada and my own limited experience, I think it all comes down to a number of factors:

1. whether the company you buy the tapes from has any previous problems with the Customs;

2. the nature of the tapes (e.g. I don't think tapes with violence and rape scenes would sit well with the Customs);

3. the way the tapes are packaged and labelled, e.g. plain packaging and "smart" labels (those that don't scream PORNS loud and clear) are the best;

4. whether they have blacklisted you; and

5. LUCK!

Hope this helps.

By the way, I don't think our Customs officers actually wear blue uniforms. I think it's more like brown. :)

JT (do fantasize about men in uniform once a while) :p

Dear Fellow Canuk:

Sorry old boy but our Customs officers do wear a very drap blue uniform. They may think and act BROWN, but the ones that wear brown are the Parks Canada staff.

I am glad to hear you have not had a problem with importing tape. Frankly it makes no sense to me at all since 90% of the tapes are legally sold here so why should they get all uptight over us buying it from the US. There is supposed to be free trade right, but that mostly covers Canadian escorts going to the Gaiety!!!!

Luck, I think that pretty well covers it.
